Requesting Azure SDK using .NET can be use by other language too
I have successfully make a pending physical device on IoT Suite to be work by using your guideline which I called "Device Activator". Somehow, I have some important inquiry since I'm not very very familiar with C++ and native C code.
Ok, I have follow another articles for sending data to iot hub which I treat it as a device information sending application using C# Console and the graph is display on mygraph.azure-devices.net. Ok, lets say I want this Native C code to be DLL so I can make another console to enable user to use 1 exe but activate many device. Which mean, the console will grab HostName, Device ID and SAK and then it will activate the new device.
As current approach, I need to enter the source code back to activate new device. I'm imagining if user created 100 devices. Omg! I need to create 100 exes? Or re-inserting deviceID and deviceKey for 100 times for activating devices?
I would like to create this "Device Activator" to become DLL and import it to IoTHubExplorer and modify to activate the device based from Device Primary Key and ID from Device's Explorer Data tab gridview.
I'm very hopefully that below Nuget also supporting for other version not limited to Native. I dont want to use UWP yet. Because I still exploring that things.
Thank you for the feedback. From your use case, it seems like IoT Hub Device Provisioning Service is a good solution. See this blog for more details: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-iot-hub-device-provisioning-service-preview-automates-device-connection-configuration/
Besides device registration, do you have other reasons for using .NET with other languages?
