Add a catchall for VMs that may be stopped, but not de-allocated, to be automatically de-allocated when the specified automatic shutdown time comes. Therefore, saving the end-user some dollars.17 votes

Allow artifacts to define dependencies of other artifacts. Example: Have a artifact that uses node.js, would like to be able to require Node.js artifact has been successfully run.3 votes
Can you describe your scenario for us to better understand the requirement?
I need the ability to easily set up a lab with an RDP gateway server. I want to use labs in a classroom setting, but all but the primary ports (i.e. http, https, etc) are blocked by my IT department so there's no way to connect to the VMs. Being able to connect through an HTML5 client would also be beneficial.2 votes
Are you using DevTest labs or Lab services for the same?
Why does it take too long to install artifacts from your public artifacts repo? Is this a consequence of the VM size I created?2 votes
We are working on improving our artifact flow for DTL.
Are you still noticing these issues?
What artifacts are you trying to install?
What’s the OS and size of machines you are creating?
We should be able to add comments for the reason of the shut down and which can be seen when the VM is accessed in Azure portal2 votes

What problem are you trying to address?

Is that possible?2 votes
Can you elaborate on what these settings look like?

It would be a very nice feature to suspend the auto shutdown for a few hours. I.e. when you are working late or have a long running process that you expect to finish a few hours after the auto shutdown time.1 vote
Today, you can set an email to receive a notification either via email or a webhook 30 mins prior to shutdown of your machine. This notification enables you to delay or skip shutdown for the day.
Is this helpful?

When Creating a VM in Dev Test Labs they are created in new Resource Groups. Since Resource Groups can not contained within each other, they are created "parallel" to the Resoruce Group the DevTest Lab is contained in.
The newly created Resoruce Groups should automatically have the same Users with the same Roles assigned to them, so i can manage and configure the RBAC on one Resource Group containing the DevTest Lab.1 vote
We have recently released a feature where you can have all lab VMs to be created in a common RG.

Does this help in the scenario you described?
Can you please elaborate on this scenario? If we provide an option to change the sku size (ex. change small to medium/large or vice versa), would that suffice?

We notice that the VNET ResourceId has been removed from the VNET properties blade. We use the ResourceId as one of the parameters for DTLab creation. There is a workaround to obtain the ResourceId but it takes longer and time consuming.1 vote
Can you elaborate where in the service would you like to see this? Are you referring to the VNET blade inside DevTest Labs – Configuration and policies or elsewhere?
