Allow a single machine cluster configuration
Please remove the requirement of having a cluster of 3 machines on-premise. Some of our clients do not have the need for scaling or reliability. They just want one machine just like a developer has a local cluster to test. It's for deployment to smaller customers of our product.

+1. We have a commercial app that relies on a pool of single-threaded processes to do some COBOL interop. SF is great for managing that pool as a set of instances of a stateless service. But we can't move forward with the idea if our customers have to buy two additional servers to run a supported cluster configuration.
We have another commercial enterprise app running at over 4000 customers, we are looking at replacing the WCF/IIS hosting we use today with SF, but can't really pursue the idea if there's a 3 machine cluster minimum.

Please consider removing the "fake" borders to allow this in a production environment.
We've got customers of our software that are perfectly willing to cut reliability and scaling in order to get the price of hosting it down.
However we do want to be able to run this in the cloud as a service, however it's not happening that all customers are willing to run this in the cloud in the near future.
