Logic Apps

Logic Apps allow developers to design workflows that articulate intent via a trigger and series of steps, each invoking an App Service API app whilst securely taking care of authentication and best practices like durable execution.
If you have any feedback or ideas on Azure Logic Apps we’d love to hear it.

  1. Salesforce query builder

In the Visual Studio Logic app designer, while selecting Salesforce connector we need a query builder, so that it would be easy to build the query and fill the where clause in the way Logic app expects.

  3. Support Salesforce marketing cloud as a connector

    Salesforce marketing cloud

    https://www.salesforce.com/products/marketing-cloud/overview/

Exposes a complex SOAP API which WSDL of is not supported in either API Management SOAP to REST or Logic App SOAP Custom Connector.

Consider adding a connector for it to reduce the friction from using the HTTP connector and forming complete XML SOAP envelope 'by hand'.

  4. A Salesforce "record deleted" trigger would be useful

A Salesforce "record deleted" trigger would be useful. The existing "record modified" trigger does not fire on deletions.

  5. Allow Salesforce connector to complete CRUD operations on custom entities.

Today the Salesforce connector can work with accounts, leads, opportunities, and contacts. Would be nice if it could work with custom entities.

  6. Salesforce Object Updates: Remove the REQUIRED for non mandatory fields in Salesforce for updates

Almost every Salesforce object shows few Required fields on Update record action - which are absolutely not required on updates (they are mandatory when inserting though).

Since there is a need to pass the mandatory field value even on updates, we are forced to waste an unnecessary call to Salesforce to get the value for those fields before we do an update.

Please DO NOT make any fields mandatory for updates. If the update fails, it should only because of any trigger/validation rule/workflow rule. You should allow us to update only the fields that need to be updated and not…

  7. Salesforce "record modified" trigger should not fire when records are created

Salesforce "record modified" trigger should not fire when records are created, since there is already a dedicated "record created" trigger for that.

  8. Getting relative URL of file content instead of Base64 data from LogicApp Salesforce Connector

I want to implement the scenario using LogicApp that whenever the new Attachment will be uploaded to Salesforce then this attachment should get copied to SharePoint document library.

I am using Salesforce trigger(When_a_record_is_created) in LogicApp, Salesforce Object type is Attachments, so whenever the new attachments is uploaded in salesforce then LogicApp will be triggered.

I am using the SharePoint action(Create File in SharePoint). The parameters of the create file action are File Name, File Content, Folder Path.
I have selected name and body property of the trigger in File Name and File Content parameters of Create File action respectively.

    When…

  9. Allow us to name Connection Name - Multiple Salesforce Sandbox connections - can't know which one to use

Currently you let us change the connection and point to a new SalesForce sandbox or a new ServiceBus etc. But then you don't allow us to name the connection.

The problem is I now have Salesforce1 to Salesforce12 connections. How do I know which connection points to which sandbox? You should at-least give an ability to Name or Rename the connection name.

  10. Allow bulk upsert/delete of data using SalesForce Bulk API

    Hi,

SalesForce has a bulk API that allows upsert/delete of records in large batches. Can you please add support for this to your connector?

The bulk API is much more efficient for processing batches than the current "record at a time" approach used by the current connector, and helps with managing resource contention when:
    - multiple integrations are interacting with SalesForce
    - large volumes of transactions are being processed by a single integration

It would also allow reuse (pooling?) of a single API connection across multiple connector instances to also help with resource contention. Currently we expect to use the…

  11. Salesforce Connector should be able to query deleted records

Currently Salesforce connector allows to query all records of an object where IsDeleted=false. However, SOQL queries allow to query recycle bin by applying IsDeleted=true. But connector has no settings to include deleted records.

  12. Provide access to the Salesforce upsert operation using External ID as the key

The Salesforce upsert function using External ID as the key is very useful and streamlines several integration scenarios. Please make this as a connector in Logic Apps

  13. Have Salesforce.com connector understand the full schema heirarchy

Have the salesforce.com connector understand the full schema hierarchy so that when we get Account data, we have the option to also get Contacts or other data related to Account. This should be done in a single call and not looping through. Adding this functionality will put Logic Apps more in-line with other iPaaS tools, and be a huge win!!!

  14. Ability to fetch reference objects through Salesforce connector

The Get Records action of Salesforce connector does not fetch the inner reference objects currently. e.g. Get All Contacts would only return Contcts info but not the <Account.Name> for a specific Contact object.
User currently has to run through an inner loop to gte the same, which is NOT cost effective solution.

Ability to have a single call (might be slower, but that is acceptable) to fetch the reference object(s) would be a much appreciated feature from cost perspective

  15. Execute soql query

It will be great if we have an action to execute soql query in salesforce connector , Since salesforce triggers can poll for single salesforce object

  16. Salesforce FeedItem Type Test

I would like to be able to conditionally test on the type of a FeedItem. e.g. to see if it is a TextPost or AdvancedTextPost.

  18. BizTalk Flat File Encoder: Convert a given flat file instance to JSON

A very common integration scenario is that a flatfile (csv) gets uploaded to a ftp server. The file contains e.g. informations about an order which must send to a LOB-system like Salesforce. It would be nice to use a Logic App therefor, together with a FTP Connector, BizTalk Flat File Encoder and Salesforce Connector. But it is not that simple today. As far as I can see so far, we would need need a BizTalk XPath Extractor in addition. So I wish like to see a BizTalk Flat File Encoder which supports json other than just xml. I think…

  19. Have a Salesforce Trigger when Schema is changed

We have a trigger when a record is modified or created. In the similar way we require the trigger when any new column is added or deleted for any Entity

  20. Salesforce "record created" since last received trigger/datetime

If the logic App was disabled I need a way to get the triggers I missed during that time.
