  3. Public IPs (PIP) and Network Interface (NIC) Objects are not Always Cleaned Up When Deleting a VM

While we were testing creating new VMs from images, we noticed that when we deleted the VMs through the GUI, the PIP and NIC objects were left behind. We had to go back manually to delete them.

  4. Allow to restric the capacity of type and numer of resources that can be created in a resource group

We often come across scenarios where we need to give a small POC or a solution test drive for a customer where we need to allow a customer to be able to create maybe just 5 VMs, 1 storage a/c, 1 SQL DB . We wish we could create a resource group for that customer to define the cap on the type and the no. of Azure resources he/she maybe able to create in the delegated resource group

  5. Provide the ability to execute ARM templates authored using Visual Studio in an emulator in local machine

Provide the ability to execute ARM templates authored using Visual Studio in an emulator in local machine.
. This helps us to save time while authoring templates.
. The emulator should have the ability to sync on the background to incur the updated schema and the latest ARM engine.

  6. Allow multiple address spaces when using ARM for virtual networks

When deploying services in IaaS using the Service Management API we have created a 3 tier virtual network in line with our on premise deployments - 10.125. 1x.x 10.25.x.x 172.25.x.x. If you try to add an additional address space when creating a network in ARM in the portal, you get a message saying you can't change the address space, which means you are limited to a single address space. Not the end of the world, but it means we are tied to classic until this becomes available.

  7. Site http://resources.azure.com should have ability to generate ARM templates for use in VS2015 Resource group projects

http://resources.azure.com is a great site... and VS2015 Resource Group ARM template projects are great ways to save and regenerate Azure environments.

However trying to figure out what needs to get put into the VS2015 ARM templates EVEN when looking at what you have manually created through the Azure portals through the http://resources.azure.com site is difficult. It isn't unusual to spend hours trying to figure out how to add something and maybe you'll figure it out and maybe you won't. The eventual solution for redeploying a set of Azure resources being a document that includes running the VS2015 Resource Group Powershell…

  8. Control on Resource Group Deletion

    Scenario:
Create a resource group "TestRG" with service admin rights , add storage accounts.

From root (Browse all --> Resource groups) , delete "TestRG". All the associated resources gets deleted.

This posses a significant risk - if a user with super privileges perform delete operation, it gets succeeded

Can we have more control on deletion process ? -
Eg: Embed Change control process for deletion
    or
Delete all the child objects inside a resource group

  9. Feature Request : required properties

So I think that the general request for a "comments" or "description" placeholder has been mentioned a number of times. And it seems that the general response is that Azure *does* provide a KV propertybag, which addresses the issue (see http://feedback.azure.com/forums/281804-azure-resource-manager/suggestions/5047644-allow-for-comments-or-notes-on-resources)

unfortunately, the intent of having a comments/description field (I think) is to be able to include it in the primary service listings.

Therefore, I propose the following enhancements:
    - First, I want to be able to specify a property that will be REQUIRED by all future objects (or perhaps certain object classes, such as VM/DB/etc?).
    - Second, I…

  10. Support role based access to subscriptions from Visual Studio

We extensively use role based access controls, but have recently run into a problem as more users are starting to come on board. Those that are not particularly familiar with Azure are trying to connect via Visual Studio's Server Explorer or the like, but are told that they do not have any Azure subscriptions even though they can manage resources at https://portal.azure.com.

Could we please resolve this so that people can use the tools they are familiar with? This would reduce my time spent answering questions about access a lot.

  11. Users that are members of an AD group do not gain access when that group is given role access

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but when I add sync'd AD group the "Reader" role (or any other role, as far as I can tell), the users that are a member of that group are not given access.

I thought this might be related to sync lag, but after waiting 3 days, users are still unable to access the Azure resources I provided them access to.

  12. Support RBAC at Service Management API

Enable access to Service Management API with role based access control (RBAC).
Now, API access account can full controls (contain delete). This is very dangerous. We can't avoid this situation now.
So I'm desiring to be able to safety access to API by RBAC.
(examle: access by readonly account and collect vm list by batch program)

  13. Allow > 1 simultaneous provisioning of the same image type

I just encountered an error trying to provision two separate Enterprise Windows 7.1 SP1 images: provisioning began for the first VM. Then I configured and pressed "Create" for the second host and the new portal immediately gave me an error indicating that there was a clash of VM image names and that the name would become available after 24 hours.

I waited until the first VM had been provisioned successfully, then went through exactly the same steps for creating the second VM and this time it worked.

Seems like a portal bug to me. BTW, as a new Azure user…

  14. Billing History Options with Resource Move

When manipulating resources in resource groups I would like to be able to decide whether I can move unbilled costs during the move. There are scenarios where we might want to leave the costs incurred in a previous resource group and have the new resource group not have those historical costs present. At other times we might want the opposite.

  15. Capability to rename server farm location

I suggest the capability to define my custom subcollection of your server farm, where I can define my custom name.

Example: Usually I use "West Europe", "North Europe" and "East USA" server farm.
    I will rename it in:
    - "West Europe" -> "Europe 1"
    - "North Europe" -> "Europe 2"
    - "East USA" -> "USA 1"

  16. Set spending Limit via ARM Template or Powershell or Rest

Allow to Set spending Limit via ARM Template or Powershell or Rest.

    -Set Owners
    -Set Spending Limit
    -Set Currency
    -Set Warning Levels

  19. Ability to change the location of Vitrual machines, SQL servers and some other resources

There should be a way to update the location of Vitrual machines, SQL servers and some other resources. Instead of deleting the resources and re creating the same with the new location. if there is a way to update it would be very help full.

  20. Data disk as a separate resource type Microsoft.Compute/DataDisk"

In ARM template data disks are only properties of os. But data disks could be separate type of resource, and we will can manage and manipulating them. life cycle of a data disk could be longer than VM. it we be a huge step forward from current situation.
