How can we improve the Azure Resource Manager?

Allow Cloud Service publishing in VS to use Storage Accounts created in ARM

Today in SDK 2.8, if you create a storage account in ARM, it's not visible in the Cloud Service publish tooling. It can only see "classic" storage accounts. Not awesome.

To clarify, all Cloud Services tools are based on Azure Service model. We are looking into aligning this with the ARM support. Hopefully the workaround helps to make fast progress.

Here is a workaround to use v2 storage for publish:
        1. in the solution explorer, under the Cloud Service application | Roles node, right click on a role and select 'Properties'
        2. VS would open the role properties designer page. In 'Configuration' tab, 'diagnostics' section, there is a '...' button beside the textbox 'Specify the storage account credentials for the Diagnostics result'. Click on this button brings up a dialog 'Create Storage Connection String'
        3. Select 'Manually entered credentials' radio button. Enter the storage account name and access key
        4. Publish the application through publish wizard. The storage account specified earlier will override the selection made in the 'Advanced' tab.
