The JSON editor is OK but is still a barrier to entry. A WYSIWIG UI based on SSIS/Machine Learning Studio would really make this easier to use.
Thanks for your feedback. We are working towards an authoring experience that will be very easy and intuitive for you. We will be sharing more details in the coming months.

It is amazing how teams are not talking and learning from each other... This is something that the SSIS team solved more than 10 years ago. The experience with control of the flow , ability to restart a full segment of the pipeline, monitor what is happening, and let alone Develop, feel like a 100 steps back from the elegance of SSIS that is available today. As the product is today, there are no significant gains in developer productivity

I really, really like the UI as is in: www.streamanalytix.com (you probably have to dl the sand box).
we are using ADF to Data movement and transformation. However there is not user interface for Transformation activity. Grouping and parallel execution of similar pipelines will be much easier if there was grouping or container option. I think it will benefit a lot from inheriting SSIS features such as Control flow links and container

There is also a separate "Data Factory needs a GUI" vote which looks like the same thing.

Creating an ADF job should not require a cut'n'paste exercise where you have to track a bunch of notepad items for the source and destination. If the resources are available on the logged in users account then they should be available as dropdowns, and transforms and cleaning should be a cleaner process
it could be great to transform xml and xls to SQL Tables graphically (without using JSON files)
GUI interface similar to Azure ML UX experience
