Add the ability to restart an activity from within a pipeline within a master pipeline in ADFv2
If a pipeline structure is a master pipeline containing child pipelines with the activities held within these, it is not possible to restart the child pipeline and have the parent recognise when the child pipeline completes. Add the functionality to allow an activity in the child pipeline to be restarted that is then passed back to the parent pipeline when successfully completed.
Couple of below options to be added..
1. we should have an option to restart master pipeline from a particular upstream activity of child pipeline instead of the failed activity.
2. If there are multiple child pipelines failed, then we should get above option # 1 for all the failed child pipelines.
Is this feature of rerunning the pipeline from failed activity is running fine in adf 2. Because when i use to do so succeeded pipelines also gets triggered.

I'm assuming/hoping this would apply to Azure DevOps build and release pipelines as well as Azure Data Factory pipelines.

Yes, We are also looking for this Restart ability options. We are using ADF Pipeline for calling SSIS (which is on premise) packages through Self hosted Integration Runtime. A single pipeline is having 20 SP activities each of them calling an SSIS package. In the current options, if the 15th package fails then we have to rerun the entire pipeline starting from package 1.
In ADF V2, we would like to start a pipeline from the point of activity failure. We understand the feature is currently not available and is planned to be included in upcoming releases. Can you please confirm when this feature is expected to be available for use.
