refreshing Azure Analysis Cube
Azure Data Factory pipeline activity to refresh Azure analysis services cube partitions.
For now check and use the custom activity sample from https://github.com/Azure/Azure-DataFactory/tree/master/Samples/AzureAnalysisServicesProcessSample and this is also mentioned in the AS GA blog (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-azure-analysis-services-general-availability/). We are further evaluating the future native 1st-class support.
Consider using a Logic App (from ADF) which enables you to scale Azure AS up, processes your Azure AS objects and scales Azure AS down again: https://jorgklein.com/2018/02/28/process-azure-analysis-services-objects-using-a-logic-app-part-2/
The Link from the Admin is not working any more.
You can implement it via HTTP requests like this:
Quite easy and works pretty good, just copy the code and relax.
This is from NOVEMBER 2016. Three years ago. Yet nothing has been done.
Happy birthday everyone! 🎂
Any update for this feature ?
The link for the Custom Activity sample has changed and can now be found at: https://github.com/Azure/Azure-DataFactory/tree/master/SamplesV1/AzureAnalysisServicesProcessSample
Wow... This post is from November 2016. The admin added a comment marking this as 'planned' in April 2017.
I added the date on my calendar so this April 26th 2019 I'll come back and sing happy birthday in honour of Microsoft's lethargy on such a trivial requirement.
Any updates here?

Any updates on this not having first class support is a major gap. Ideally, the first class support would leverage the REST API: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/asynchronous-refresh-with-the-rest-api-for-azure-analysis-services/
and support robust logging and error handling capabilities
