Allow a Kusto query to reveal update agent readiness and the compliance state for patch management / azure automation
I would like to determine if we have machines that aren't reporting a ready state due to issue with monitoring agent or hybrid workers.
Thank you for your query, can you please help explain on the your scenario a bit more. Are you not able to get this data querying the existing data sets where we don’t heartbeat ?

I would also like to determine update agent readiness programmatically instead of having to keep an eye on this myself. Would be great if this feature would be added.

Heartbeats don't cover this issue. You may well have consistent heartbeats for a server but the Hybrid worker has not been seen for 3 days and your Runbook jobs have been failing.
Has this gained any traction yet? The problem is service breaking and yet there is no way of reporting or alerting on it.

Admin - Heartbeat checks to see log analytics has heartbeat not hybrid workers reported recently. Is there a way we can run a query on hybrid workers not reporting in?
thank you so much for this discuss azure automation
