scroll bar does not work in chrome and Safari
When going to the OMS Alert list (Overview->Settings) in chrome (Version 61.0.3163.100) and Safari (Version 10.0.3 (12602.4.8)) on MacOS (Version 10.12.3 (16D32)) the scroll bar does not appear on the screen when you have more Alerts than is available in the list. Nor are you allowed to scroll down the list of alerts with a scroll wheel when that component of the screen has focus.
The Scroll Bar works fine in FireFox (56.0) on the same computer. I have replicated this on multiple MacBook Pro's.
Planned/resolved as part of new Azure Alerts update – now available in public preview: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/new-alerts-preview-in-azure-monitor/
I am also faced the same kind of issue in OMS alert list page while using Chrome. it always creates a headache for me.
The alternative option just change the text size from the page smaller(zoom in from browser) to select bottom available alerts.
OMS Portal is scheduled for an update - which would possibly address these issues regarding rendering.
Till then we suggest you try using - the new Alerts (Preview) on Azure Portal. Running on the Azure Portal which uses a newer interface engine and design - it is compatible with all modern browsers including Safari on MacOS. We have recently launched the public preview of Azure Alerts (Preview) and it allows you to create as well as manage in a singular interface all your alerts - including OMS Log Analytics based Alerts and Azure Monitor based Alerts. More details available on Azure blog: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/new-alerts-preview-in-azure-monitor/
A more experienced Mac user noted that you can go into system preferences -> general and turn scrollbars as "always on". One still doesn't appear to have use of the "scroll wheel" on the mouse/trackpad but at least you can use the scroll bar in the pane.
It appears that if you fully refresh the page and let the Solutions page/tab fully render, then click on the Alerts Tab and wait for it to fully render, then mousing over the table will not allow you to scroll.
However, if you refresh the page and click on the configuration Gear in the top right, then the Alerts tab and hover over the table before it fully renders then you are able to scroll.... most of the time.
It doesn't appear to be completely consistent behaviour, but that may help you narrow it down.
I have found in rare cases if I'm moving around on the screen/clicking between screen that in both Chrome and Safari that the scrollbar will show up momentarily, but it does not take much interaction with the portal for the scrollbar to disappear again. I can also see that all of the table-rows exist in the table when inspecting via Chrome.
