How can we improve Azure Search?

Run multiple Indexers at once

We have many indexes with matching indexers that scan SQL Server tables to import/update data.

I found that during the initial import of a new large index (millions of records, taking several hours), none of the other indexers on the same service are run at all. This means that just by adding a new index, all other indexes will become stale until the large index is finished!

Please add the ability for multiple indexers to run simultaneously.

        Hi Guys,

We have multipe indexes on a single 60 million record search unit. Some small but some above 20 million records. If we need to reset one of the large indexers, it can take several hours. While that is running, no other indexer runs. Reading the documents it seems the only answer is adding more Search Units - which is a very expensive solution to the problem.

Are there any plans to allow the execution of multiple indexers in parallel on one Search Unit?
