Azure Search

Azure Search is a search-as-a-service solution that allows developers to incorporate a sophisticated search experience into web and mobile applications without having to worry about the complexities of full-text search and without having to deploy, maintain or manage any infrastructure

  1. Annoying ListAdminKeys in Activity Logs

It seems that Azure Search has not Activity Logs blade. But when I see the whole Activity Logs of a subscription, there are so many ListAdminKeys activities of Azure Search resource.

  2. Provide an agent to watch a filesystem for document changes

I'm currently using dropbox for this, and it would be nice to bypass this step, and go directly to search

Thank you for your feedback. While it is unlikely we’ll address this suggestion in the near future, we’ll reassess based on the number of votes it receives.

In the meantime – we do support indexer through Azure Files which would allow you to do what you’re looking for. Another alternative would be to use Logic Apps (or Flow), and create triggers for your file system, pushing the data into a blob or Posting it directly to the search index.

    Thanks,
    Elad

  3. filterAndMergeMany

We need a way to update/merge all documents matching a filter criteria. E.g. only change one field for all documents matching a $filter specified.

  4. Add tagging to each token such as POS, allowing to filter on them and receive them in results

In Lucene you can add metadata to each token, which is then returned on search results.

It would be great to be able to add predefined tags/metadata during indexing that will be later returned on search results. Filtering results based on these tags would also be great.

    Examples of tags can be:
    Part of Speech
    Dates
    Numbers
    Entities (person names, organizations)
    Locations (city, country names)
