local dedup support
Support for locally attached volumes to dedup. I keep my hyper-V storage separate from backup storage and there is no way to implement the white paper recently release detailing using SOFS storage with dedup.
Please enable support for locally attached hard drive volume dedup
Apologies for the delayed response. Azure Backup already uses dedup provided by Windows Server.

Not having local dedup is a showstoper for pretty much everyone I talk to. The process described at http://blogs.technet.com/b/dpm/archive/2015/01/06/deduplication-of-dpm-storage-reduce-dpm-storage-consumption.aspx is just not available in most environments.
Please provide some feedback when and if this will be implemented.
Thanks for sharing. But I currently used another backup software i.e CloudBacko pro. Its provides free space on Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox into a single large storage. Through CloudBacko pro it is very easy to restore the data. I also try to use Comodo Backup. Keep updating. leaving a link below just check. http://www.cloudbacko.com/

DPM backup volumes should also support deduplication to save disk Memory on backup machine
Deduplication for locally attached drives would make SCDPM much more useable.
