How can we improve Azure Backup?

Change Resource Group for restorePointCollections

"Microsoft.Compute/restorePointCollections are store in a special ressource group named : AzureBackup_<Region>_<number>.

The good idea could be to be able to configure an other RG for each Recovery Service Vault to store restorePointCollections.

Yes, this is a good idea. I found this to be annoying. Why put your Recovery Services Vaults in an RG named Backup when it uses this method to create an RG to store Hidden Objects? On the surface it looks like it is empty and redundant. Being able to point it at your chosen RG where the RSV is would be more efficient. I called MS support, they deleted the restorePointCollection (which is basically one object for each server that gets repeatedly written over) because it is recreated every time a backup is started. Then we deleted the RG that was automatically created and it came right back. No way at this point to change this.
