How can we improve Azure Backup?

Unlock VMs Prior to Initiating Backups via Recovery Services Vault Job

If you lock a resource group containing VMs as ReadOnly, VMs in that resource group will fail to backup because they are locked.

Please provide an option to bypass ReadOnly locks for recovery services backup jobs.

Even after I created the Recovery Services Vault in its own resource group, I still have to remove the CanNotDelete lock at the resource group level where the backup VM resides. This is simply a bug and needs to be fixed.

It turns out that the Recovery Services Vault also requires delete to prune old backups. The override should also apply in this scenario. This would allow customers to apply a delete lock at a subscription or resource group level which is much more manageable than resource-specific locks.

This is a very unfortunate bug as the most critical VM's are the ones you want to lock and also backup.
