How can we improve Azure Backup?

Have option to Replace Existing VM when Restoring from Azure Backup

When restoring it would be great to be able to replace the existing VM you are restoring for. i.e keeping all the configuration, effectively just swapping the .Vhd's without the need to reconfigure Networks etc.

Correct, it's ridiculous to write complex powershell script for restore vhd and recreate a new Ressource with existing settings (HA, load balancer, Static IP< etc…) just for "revert" a snapshot. Please, let an option to restore vhd in-place of previous one with a VM restart.
Like this, customer can take a "snapshot VM", make change, and if having issue, just click on "revert" let's do it easy, don't scare customers. Hard to sell a backup solution, when restore are hard to manage
