  1. Performance tuning

Currently the backup performance depends on the number of jobs. So if we talking about the SQL servers and log backups, this could be very slow. But I don't understand why if the number of "in progress" jobs is more or less same. --> so maybe could be faster with a different logic
My other problem the protection group deletion, modificaton is slow if the protected object number is high.

  2. DPM 2019 UR2

U have to consider your product before releasing as I'm using it in the production environment and I refused other third party BKUP softwares.

Faced that the console takes and consumes time while starting the DPM which is unexpected.

Faced an issue with modifying the protection groups already created which it will crashed the dpm console in case of any update to the PG which is also unexpected ... knowing that the option to re-create the protection group is impoosible as it will release all the protected data.

Faced an issue with the disk attached to the DPM .. incase…

  5. Multiple Online Subscriptions to Azure

Please create the possibility in DPM to use several online subscriptions to be able to bill different (customer) backups separately in Azure, so that it is easier to see what each backup actually costs.

  6. Involving Azure backup data uploaded by DPM to backup report using Power BI.

We have several on-premise DPM servers where the online backup is activated therefore the backup data is uploaded to the Azure monthly basis. We are testing Power BI to generate Azure backup report, but unfortunately, the backup reports using PowerBI for Data Protection Manager aren't supported at this time.

  7. Clean up VMware snapshots when VM backup fails in DPM

Currently when a backup of a VMware VM is interrupted due to the DPM disk filling up or the VMware server rebooting during backup causing the VMware level backup of a VM to fail - the snapshot is left on the VMware VM and requires manual consolidation. Could the DPM backup send a snapshot cleanup command even in the event the backup fails

  10. Recover indiviudal files from long term VM backup to azure

It would be great when using Azure Backup Server on premises or DPM backup to Azure to be able to restore individual files from within a VM backup (both Hyhper-V and VMware) in the same way you can for short term backup. At the moment if I want to restore one file from a VM backed up to Azure I have to restore the entire VM.

  11. DPM current branch updates available and installed via console

Making current branch updates available for download and install via the DPM console is something that would make the management of current branch updates easier. The SCCM team do a great job of in-console updates and a similar method would be great

  12. DPM moved to a new vault - do I need the original vault for full restore?

If I move a DPM server to a different vault, will it move the replica along with any recovery points? Maybe I'm a little unclear as to how the Azure Recovery vault works with DPM, but I want to make sure I can fully restore any VMs and/or files from the new vault without needing the original vault, or the local DPM server in case of DR.
