Machine Learning

Welcome! You can use this site to tell the Azure Machine Learning team what features you would like to see.
Azure Machine Learning enables developers and data scientists to build advanced analytic web services in minutes and hours, eliminating the heavy lifting associated with deploying machine learning in modern data driven applications.

How can we improve Microsoft Azure Machine Learning?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  2. Provide Azure ML in additional regions

Currently ML is only available in SouthCentral in the US. Is there a roadmap for availability in other regions?

  3. How many cores can we use in AzureML?

We'd like to use doSNOW package and foreach package with R script in AzureML.

How many cores can we use with doSNOW package in AzureML?

  4. Please provide option to control isWarmContainer value

Is Warm Container this value is not under control of user, I don't how it is designed but is causing experiment to not run on frequent basis. E.g .I have list of input rows passed onto experiment through API, First time executes taking the input rows, but when executed second time it gives the output for only the old set of inputs. It doesnt consider new set of inputs, in the output we can see Is Warm Container =TRUE.

If you cant give control option atleast disable it permanently.

    Thanks

  5. Fix AI course

The intro to AI course, ML part has many problems. Here is one that prevents you from progressing: Lab 1, exercise 2, Create Experiment, item 5, click on "visualize" doesn't work.

  6. Where can I open an issue against Azure ML Studio

I use Azure ML Studio with Python script execution. I got the following error:

  7. Recommendations API

It would be helpful if we could source the catalog and the usage points could be uploaded to a storage account

  9. Enable parallelization of Custom R Modules

Currently no parallelization can be achieved in Custom R Modules. It would be nice if we could use libraries like doSNOW and configure the degree of parallelism for each module or per experiment

  10. Choose order of operations for text preprocessing

The current documentation is vague with regards to order of operations of the text preprocessing module.

Having the ability to select the order in which the transformations are applied would greatly improve the utility of the module and prevent the need for chaining many text processing modules to achieve desired results.

  11. Please provide mathematical documentation for statistical and ML models

There are a few places in AML where the AML tool produces different results than the equivalent function in a standard R package; without documentation to understand specific parameter defaults and mathematical/theoretical approach differences, it's impossible to determine if the differences are a bug in the AML tool or a valid difference.

  13. Incorrect dataset type assigned to no header CSV files with *.nh.csv file extension, please assign Generic CSV file with no header

Assign the correct dataset type to no header CSV files with *.nh.csv file extension which should be Generic CSV file with no header, instead of Generic CSV with header.

  14. In AML Studio Datasets view, users should be able to download and open in notebook directly.

In AML Studio Datasets view, users should be able to download and open in notebook directly. Right now I have to drag a dataset to an experiment and download it from there.

  16. Description about data set

    Hi Team:
I am new Azure ML studio and to that matter cloud technologies. I found it very difficult to find the info about data which are there in free samples. The idea of providing sample databases is great idea. But, to get more hands on experience with Azure ML, it will be better if we have description about data too. It will enable the practitioners got to know on which data they are working on, how the analysis is taking shape at the end. Their thinking on analysis would take a different direction instead of limited idea to work…

  17. Getting the images produced by AzureML experiments back

I have created a toy example in Azure, with a simple dataset:

    amounts city code user_id
    1 2.95 Colleferro 100 999
    2 2.95 Subiaco 100 111
    3 14.95 Avellino 101 333
    4 14.95 Colleferro 101 999
    5 14.95 Benevento 101 444
    6 -14.95 Subiaco 110 111
    7 -14.95 Sgurgola 110 555
    8 -14.95 Roma 110 666
    9 -14.95 Colleferro 110 999
with the aim to create a very simple plot.

The code into the R script module is the following:

    data.set <- maml.mapInputPort(1) # class: data.frame
    #-------------------
    plot(data.set$amounts);
title("This title is a very long title. That is not a problem…

  18. Was puzzled how to get out of Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio and just return to Trial Azure Account

Suggest you add something like Return to Azure Portal or Main Azure Account to Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio. As a newbie, I wanted to return to the main Azure Portal page but was afraid in on the Machine Learning Studio page that "Sign Out" would log me out of all browser tabs. Am just suggesting reducing the uncertainty factor for new users like me.

  19. I tried the first step in Azure ML Studio, to add the Project Columns filter to the data. I am angry they are not connected.

I can't find any connector or other way of joining the Project Columns filter to the data source. I feel I wasted my time to try this Studio when such basic features as connecting data source to filter are not working.
Please make the connector arrow a clear element in the Studio screen.
