  1. Allow better customization of the standalone or virtual wizard

When asking users to provide input for deploying VMs, not all options are "enforceable. Admin password, product key etc. always get's prompted.

Although this might work great in the Service Provider space, enterprise must be able to fully customize the "input experience" to enforce standards and ensure manageability.

  2. Add Mobile Services to Azure Pack

I would really like to see Azure Mobile Services ported over to Azure Pack with an ASP.NET WEB API backend.

  3. Allow custom links in Tenant Portal

Much like ADFS does, support adding custom links at the top of the tentant portal (ex: "back to my account").

  8. Add CTRL-ALT-END to the Console Connect login screen

Today it is not obvious to a tenant how to log on to a VM from the Console Connect screen. There is a small menu in the Console Connect screen that could be used to trigger CTRL-ALT-END.

This is a great suggestion, thank you. We are reviewing and appreciate any further details regarding how you would like this to work in WAP.

  10. VPN details or script

Let tenants download VPN config script via the portal, like in Microsoft Azure. Or at least supply the details needed to setup the connection.

  11. VM Role (external) validation hooks

Parameter validation options are very limited and could be expanded with (external) script hooks.
    Example:
An Enterprise utilizes Azure Pack internally. All VM roles must join the same Active Directory domain. During VM role deployment a computer name is provided by the user. There is no way to check against Active Directory if this computer name is already in use. Worst case scenario, the user enters a name of a server already in use and highjacks the trust relationship with the new VM role breaking service of the “old” server. Many other scenarios could be thought of. It would be…

  13. Add option for tenant portal to select where created VHD file is stored for virtual machine

Currently customers cant use self service portal to select where VHDs are stored. Also usage service do not report storage usage based on storage classification. With this limitation it is very problematic to sell storage with different characteristics for different price.

  16. Exclude parent differencing disk size from storage usage in tenant portal

Currently if a VM template is configured to deploy the VM by creating a differencing disk, the "size" of that VM in the tenant portal is reported as the maximum size of the differencing disk vhdx, plus the maximum size of the parent vhdx.

For example, a VM template with a 50GB vhdx configured to create a differencing disk of 100GB will consume 150GB of the tenants storage quota, however the tenant only has access to 100GB within their VM.

  17. Allow Admins to dedicate a Reserved Work Role for a website

This will help us in capacity planning and in an event of host/vm is down, we know which applications will be impacted. Also this will help us in deciding which websites to deploy more reliable hosts so our Tier 1 applications can be on them.

  18. Hybrid Cloud Management

Azure must provide Hybrid Cloud Management using single portal thereby managing VMware, Amazon, Micorosft or any other cloud through single portal. As of now, We can manage vCenter Server in SCVMM so we can create cloud and tag it to vCenter server but AWS can not be managed. Many customers are looking for this option where using single portal multiple clouds can be managed. If Microsoft can implement such hybrid management in Azure Pack then this product will become more useful in market as well.

Hope Microsoft Team will look forward on this requirement.

    Thanks,
    Mayank Dhama

  19. Load Balance runbook job.

We currently manage 1000's of servers with SMA and runbooks. Unfortunately, once a runbook starts on a runbook worker, it is run from that single worker until completion. If I want it to run on multiple workers, I have to make two separate runbooks each calling a different list then link the runbook to the runbook worker to ensure it is run on two different servers. If there was a way to load balance this job so that 2 (or more) runbook workers completed the job together, this would greatly increase efficiency.
