  1. Set NIC bandwidth settings (QOS weight / classification) with VM Role

The VM Role currently does not allow you to assign a classification (bandwidth weight) to the NIC)

  2. Allow modify currently configured network rules (NAT)

It would be nice to modify currently configured rules that have been applied. When user has created a rule and the ip address of the machine that the rule points to has been changed, the rule has to be deleted to change the rule to new ip.

  3. Allow better customization of the standalone or virtual wizard

When asking users to provide input for deploying VMs, not all options are "enforceable. Admin password, product key etc. always get's prompted.

Although this might work great in the Service Provider space, enterprise must be able to fully customize the "input experience" to enforce standards and ensure manageability.

  4. Add Mobile Services to Azure Pack

I would really like to see Azure Mobile Services ported over to Azure Pack with an ASP.NET WEB API backend.

  5. Simple Site to Site VPN between Azure Pack Subscription and Microsoft Azure Public

Allow simple site to site vpn between Azure Pack Subscription and Microsoft Azure Public. This allows users to create VPN between Azure Subscription and Azure Public.

  6. VM Role (external) validation hooks

Parameter validation options are very limited and could be expanded with (external) script hooks.
    Example:
An Enterprise utilizes Azure Pack internally. All VM roles must join the same Active Directory domain. During VM role deployment a computer name is provided by the user. There is no way to check against Active Directory if this computer name is already in use. Worst case scenario, the user enters a name of a server already in use and highjacks the trust relationship with the new VM role breaking service of the “old” server. Many other scenarios could be thought of. It would be…

  8. Add CTRL-ALT-END to the Console Connect login screen

Today it is not obvious to a tenant how to log on to a VM from the Console Connect screen. There is a small menu in the Console Connect screen that could be used to trigger CTRL-ALT-END.

  9. VPN details or script

Let tenants download VPN config script via the portal, like in Microsoft Azure. Or at least supply the details needed to setup the connection.

  11. Allow partners to offer azure pack customers resources from their partner bought azure subscriptions

Similar to Marc van Eijk suggestion but extended to allow partners to use their enterprise azure agreement and offer their azure pack customers resources based on transparent offerings and pricing options

  13. Add option for tenant portal to select where created VHD file is stored for virtual machine

Currently customers cant use self service portal to select where VHDs are stored. Also usage service do not report storage usage based on storage classification. With this limitation it is very problematic to sell storage with different characteristics for different price.

  15. Allow hierarchical structure of folders for holding runbooks

Make it possible to create folders and nested folders within the automation section of the admin portal. Allow runbooks to be created and moved to folders that the admin has created.

e.g. a 'samples' folder for all the pre-installed sample runbooks...... ;-)

Thanks for the feedback. We will look into this. In the meantime, you can use tags to help organize your runbooks.

  18. Exclude parent differencing disk size from storage usage in tenant portal

Currently if a VM template is configured to deploy the VM by creating a differencing disk, the "size" of that VM in the tenant portal is reported as the maximum size of the differencing disk vhdx, plus the maximum size of the parent vhdx.

For example, a VM template with a 50GB vhdx configured to create a differencing disk of 100GB will consume 150GB of the tenants storage quota, however the tenant only has access to 100GB within their VM.

  19. Improve scaling of Azure Pack

Allow Azure pack to manage more resources across multiple datacenters. Having multiple Azure Pack deployments breaks the cloud paradigm.

  20. Load Balance runbook job.

We currently manage 1000's of servers with SMA and runbooks. Unfortunately, once a runbook starts on a runbook worker, it is run from that single worker until completion. If I want it to run on multiple workers, I have to make two separate runbooks each calling a different list then link the runbook to the runbook worker to ensure it is run on two different servers. If there was a way to load balance this job so that 2 (or more) runbook workers completed the job together, this would greatly increase efficiency.
