  1. Role Based Access Control

Role based access control for both the Admin Site and the Tenant Site. A Microsoft Azure configuration might then also become a possibility where there is a single portal (Admin and Tenant merged) where the permissions are forced through RBAC

planned  ·  Azure Pack Team responded

    Hi!

Azure Stack as a product will support RBAC capabilities just like Azure. To clarify, it will not be coming as a feature in our in-market Azure Pack.

    Thank you,

    Kylie

  2. Multitenant AD and ADFS

Service Providers are moving from dedicated environment per tenant to automated shared environments. Active Directory and Federation forms challenges in these scenarios. Making these services truely multitenant and allow tenant interaction though Azure Pack helps Service Providers overcome these challenges.

Thank you for your feedback! We have this on our radar and appreciate any further feedback on this feature and what you would like to see.

  3. Provide a Windows Authenitcation site for the Tenant Site

The tenants now authenticate against a SQL .Net Membership provider. An AD authentication site similar as for the Admin Site would fit certain scenario's where ADFS is not an option

Thanks for the feedback, It’s great to see the comments with the different scenarios as well. We know this is important to some customers, and we are definitely looking into it!

  4. Add Network Security Groups feature from Microsoft Azure to WAP

In Microsoft Azure we have the awesome feature called Network Security Groups which allows us to specify port ACL's on either VM or subnet level. This is possible using Hyper-V Port ACLs (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn375962.aspx) but requires interaction from the service provider or a lot of scripting and integration with, for example, Service Manager.
Would be much better to expose this configuration to the tenants, possibly via Tenant Public API as far from everyone is using Service Manager. It might require the feature to be supported by VMM first, but I know there is a uservoice on the VMM page…

  5. Display claims in tenant portal

The Windows Azure Pack Tenant Portal allows you to display Diagnostic information by pressing ALT + CTRL + A
It would be great to add the current user claims (UPN & Group Claims) to that screen.

  6. active directory integration

why does the azure pack not use Active Directory to store it's users?
It uses an own database which VMM cannot access or doesnt know about, you cannot hand over the ownership of Vms to WAP users from VMM, you have to use special powershell script.

Can you please adapt the Azure Pack or VMM to do this?

    Thanks

  7. password

Hi please add the reset password for RDP , just like the VMExtension in Windows Azure, if it is truly an IaaS product then somebody might have to change his credentials inside of the VM

  9. Auditing User and Administrator actions

Now the WAP does not have ability to view the statistics of user actions in the admin portal, for example: user@admin.com create/edit/delete Plan "PlanName" - "a list of changed parameters", user2@admin.com assigned/delete subscription "SubscriptionName" - a list of changed parameters, and in the user and admin portal, for example: user@tenant.com (co-admin) create/power on/ power off/reboot/delete/change the VM - a list of changed parameters and the way of change (API or portal)

  10. Allow WindowsAuth and Auth certificates to be replaced with own certificates

At present two of the certificates that are installed on Admin servers cannot be replaced (WindowsAuth and Auth) with your own certificates. This means a requirement to annually renew these.
