To be able to manage individual services in Azure Pack via the Server Explorer in Visual Studio just as if it was like the public Azure solution.37 votes
Hi! Thank you for your suggestion! Those of us on the feature team are reviewing how we could make this happen for you!
Stay tuned :)
Thank you for your feedback! We are taking this into consideration.
Not with an additional resource provider, but merge the entries in the same portal.301 votes
Great feedback, and something we will be looking into. We appreciate any continued feedback and further suggestions on this topic!
It is very important for tenants to have control over backup and recovery of the VMs they created in their Windows Azure Pack VM Clouds. It should be possible to backup VMs while online and recover while offline.229 votes
We are reviewing a feature for disaster recovery for VMs. If you have particular ideas about the feature, please share with us here. Note that disaster recovery and backup/recovery are different features.
(like Orchestrator) and also provide prebuild powershell workflows as integration packs268 votes
Thanks for the feedback! We will investigate including graphical authoring in SMA.
Allow customers create their own Runbook in WAP10 votes
Thanks for the feedback. I think this is the same request as this: http://feedback.azure.com/forums/255259-azure-pack/suggestions/6036496-runbook-as-a-service
Can you confirm? If so please submit a vote for that request and I will close this out as a duplicate.
Service Providers are moving from dedicated environment per tenant to automated shared environments. Active Directory and Federation forms challenges in these scenarios. Making these services truely multitenant and allow tenant interaction though Azure Pack helps Service Providers overcome these challenges.131 votes
Thank you for your feedback! We have this on our radar and appreciate any further feedback on this feature and what you would like to see.
At present it only seems possible to schedule 'one time' or 'daily' for the frequency for runbooks.
Proposal : Add options for hours and minutes
Justifcation : (1) Many of our scripts need to run on a more frequent basis, such as scanning ftp file drop locations for new files and processing them accordingly. The limitation of this at the moment restricts our ability to use these.
(2) Dependancy on Orchestrator restricts full migration to SMA, adds additional development time and testing.
Current workaround : Make an Orchestrator runbook with a timer which calls the SMA runbook(s).37 votes
Just to confirm, you are looking for two additional frequencies: hour and minute. Our team can look into this.
Yes – you can have a monitor/long running runbook that triggers other runbooks on a timer as a workaround for the moment.
Currently the VM has to be shutdown to add/remove a ISO46 votes
Thank you for suggestion.
Currently a VM has to be taken offline to add, remove, grow or shrink a VHDX. If the operating supports it this should be an online experience.
Future online capabilities should also be online in Windows Azure Pack76 votes
We are looking into this capability.
When an SMA runbook is edited there is no inbox possibility to revert to the previous version or select an older version. Combining this with approval will also prevent unwanted changes. This also fits in with RBAC.27 votes
We will look into this. Thanks for the feedback!
We need a way to allow our customers to import a database dump (.bak file) through the Windows Azure Pack portal.26 votes
Thanks for the suggestion and we are looking into this.
If tenant resources are spread across multiple datacenters, there should be a choice of datacenter as a unit of organization.15 votes
Thank you for your feedback! We too would love to bring this Azure-consistent functionality on-premise.
Setting up remote Management (e.g. console or remote Desktop Connection) for tenant portals is very tricky at the moment.
Struggling selving errors, weak documentation (explanations), setting up is not straight forward, so please provide detailed installation instruction.14 votes
I started off creating subscriptions for teams to use to organize our application environments across all development teams. Then I assigned co-administrator rights to these subscriptions. However when other team members add websites it puts me as the owner rather then the co-administrator who actually created the site. Could we get another field for "Created By" and "Subscription Name"?12 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. We will look into adding these fields.
Provision VMs without a template - point to sccm or pxe service or even ISO build to give flexiblity to provisioning.
Templates are great when you have a limited number, but can get cumbersome in large environments. Allow vm and os provisioning via other methods such as pxe, sccm, iso, etc to help streamline template management. - especially useful when trying to leverage dsc/puppet/chef for management.13 votes
I would really like to see Azure Mobile Services ported over to Azure Pack with an ASP.NET WEB API backend.10 votes
Thanks for the suggestion!
Allow Azure pack to manage more resources across multiple datacenters. Having multiple Azure Pack deployments breaks the cloud paradigm.7 votes
Thank you for the feedback! We hope to bring this functionality soon!

Allow defining of tenant hierarchies and setting of resource allocation quotas per tenant. Each sub-tenant within parent tenant to be able to set resource allocation quotas within the limits of parent tenant quota. Types of quota: CPU, HDD, RAM, Network, etc.4 votes
Thank you for the suggestion! This would certainly be an interesting feature and is something we are taking into consideration. Is this feature to enable some sort of reselling scenario where the tenant would be setting resource allocation quotas within the limits of the parent quota so that they could re-offer the quota to another tenant?
- Don't see your idea?
