  1. Conditional OAUTH prompt

Conditional Authorization - There are situations where OAUTH prompt to be conditional based. For eg, in a money transfer scenario, if the transfer is < some amount, no authorization is required. In this case, can we add a feature in the developer portal / security to prompt OAuth based on some business rule, when a user hits try it button in developer portal

  2. Issues forum: support line feeds

When posting an issue in the Developer Portal, I find that all the line feeds are not considered and the text becomes all in one line which makes it hard to read the issue.

Please add support for multiple lines (like in the text box i'm typing in right now) and it would be nice to include some formatting features as well.

    Thanks

  3. [New Developer Portal] : Content writing without sign in Azure portal

Currently for putting content on APIM one has to be logged as administrator and that can be achieved only by clicking the Developer Portal/Publisher portal button on Azure portal .
We don’t want to give access to the content writer on the subscription and instead they should be able to login with a role like content writer to the developer portal and make the necessary updates to the portal

  4. [New Developer Portal] : RBAC for content

We are able to do RBAC for API by using product subscriptions but there is no RBAC for content , a user has access to all the documentation on the portal.
We want the access to documentation to also be governed by the role.

  5. Using the developer portal with APIM in internal mode

Currently the developer portal can't be used without an application gateway if APIM is in internal mode. We would like to use the APIM developer portal for our internal developers and don't want to install an (expensive) application gateway for this as MS support proposed.

  7. allow developer/management portal access from region close to developer.

For a premium tier multi region setup, allow developer/management portal access from region close to developer. Or allow to make other unit as primary so that developers can still access portals in case they have issues accessing primary unit which hosts all portals

  8. Group, filter, and sort Products

I propose to support Product grouping, filtering and sorting like APIs. One way that this can be implemented is by populating the tags of the products and make them available in the portal models (Views).
Currently the available tags property is empty regardless of the attached to the products tags.
The assignment of tags to products should also be supported in the relative Product edit interface of the azure portal.

  9. Save data when testing API

It would be awesome and saves time if API Management saves data history that is being used to test API

  10. Add option to add relative URLs/paths to all API Product and API and link the “latest” API version

Use Case: We are using one master instance and are deploying this one to multiple instances. We have multiple teams working on multiple APIs therefore we follow a continuous integration which results in release independent published portals.
    Request:
My request contains an option to link to an API via the Hyperlink window.
Perhaps something like in the attached screenshot

Our main request would be to be able to create Links (containing the Path and which version – latest or an absolute number) to API products and APIs which currently are not imported into the Instance but will be soon.
    For…

  11. Automation of subscription request

After an account is created and verified, the user has to go back to the developer page, click on products and then subscribe for the product.

We hope that the subscription request can be automated, that when an account is generated, a subscription request is automatically generated for the account.

  12. Publish and group APIs according to resource path.

To better understand the relation of the resources, it would be nice to be able to publish the APIs according to resource path rather then operation.

Could also be nice to be able to group them according to resource path in API Management as well.

  13. Remodel hyperlink list

When trying to format a text element as a hyperlink to a web URL the display is messy. My proposal would be to be able to name a Link which then is displayed instead of the whole URL. Since multiple people could work on one instance/page of the Developer Portal an overview over all used Links on a Page would support the usability and visibility of the DevPortal. Additionally a clearer and more stable indicator of what is selected and a "Copy link" function would also enhance the usability.

  14. User administration through event

Today there is no good way to get a signal that a User has signed up on the Developer Portal. It would be good to be able to set an alert on this type of event to be able to react and assign the new user to othe right groups as soon as possible.

  15. Get user subscription keys programmatically

It would be nice if as a developer I would be able to get my subscriptions keys (primary key and secondary key) programmatically. By programmatically I mean, for example, authenticate to a REST endpoint with my username and password developer portal, and then with another REST endpoint get only my keys. (similar to the management rest API but, without the ability to view or modify other users' information nor perform administrator tasks)

  17. Add AD Rules to Users and Groups Management

When new users authenticate in the Developer portal they are automatically added to the system group - Developers. But for product visibility purposes, we have additional user defined groups: Internal and External (I'm sure there are other use cases, that's just ours). We move those users who authenticate by AD into the Internal group and those who don't into External. This is a manual process. If we could add an 'AD like' rule to the Developers group memberships on add that automatically (based on authentication method and(or) other criteria) add the new users to a custom group then we wouldn't…

  18. Fix unusable slowness for moderately sized SOAP pass through APIs

    Also posted here:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/974a3b37-32bc-4544-bd55-c6bd3c3b4cc9/why-does-azure-apim-developer-portal-hang-for-moderately-sized-soap-pass-through-apis?forum=azureapimgmt&prof=required

I've created a SOAP pass through API using a WSDL from Workday, which contains about 20 or so operations. The generated request samples produced by APIM upon import I suppose are somewhat large. However when I go to the developer portal and click on one of these APIs to test it the portal hangs, sometimes indefinitely. It appears as thought size of the API (number of operations and size of the XML request examples?) causes some strange performance issue. It really makes this product unusable for me at the moment, which is unfortunate.

  19. Change authenticaion cookie domain for username/password authentication

When working with delegated authentication and the developer portal of the API manager, you will often be working with multiple websites. E.g. developers.example.com for the developer portal and site.example.com for the rest of your site. The issue is that we cannot reliably log a user out from the site.example.com side, because we cannot remove the '.AspNet.AuthenticationCookie' from that site. If that was a cookie at the domain '.example.com' the site.example.com application could manage it to make sure a user is signed out both sites.
