  1. Ability to manually enter the webhook expiry date

Currently we can only specify the expiry date by picking a date from the calendar. It would be nice if we could manually enter the year/month/day of the expiry date without using the calendar.

Thanks for this suggestion. Is there a reason that you don’t like the date picker?

  2. Graphical: Add labels to links

Please make it possible to add labels on links in graphical runbooks, otherwise I can be hard to understand logic of the runbook. (Was one of the great features of SCO Classic).

  3. Problem with seeing which Schedule assigned when reviewing the Script

The functionality was there before to see all the schedule's assigned to a runbook, not it just shows Jobs. Could you bring back the option to View the Schedule. Also is it possible to add a column on the RunBook list for the next time it is scheduled.

  4. Patch installed Date & Time and Product details

    In UpdateManagement
1."Update" query doesn't have the details of Patch installed Date and Time.
    2. "UpdateRunProgress" doesn't have the details of Product for Windows machines. where we are getting for the Linux machines.

Hopefully we need these 2 details to be captured in mentioned query

  5. Provisioning an Azure subscriptions cannot be fully automated

Currently there is no way to automate the creation of new Azure Subscription. Partners must be able to automate the creation of subscription.

  7. Module Update Improvements

Modules that are now pretty much essential for DSC are not updated through Update Modules as they're not part of the azure sdk, e.g. ComputerManagementDsc, StorageDSC. Option to update these rather than going to the gallery and importing again would be better.

On the modules page show current and new version numbers if applicable so you know what's out of date.

  9. Simplify VM start and stop

Better allow a scheduled restart from the VM configuration itself along the lines of the shutdown option. my team has individual MSDN subscription but they can't create azure automation account due to organisation policy and limited permissions.

  10. Bug? Error deploying a PowerShell Gallery module with ARM

When deploying a module from the PowerShell Gallery using ARM with the resource type microsoft.automation/automationAccounts/modules, the import begins in Azure Automation, but fails with the message:

Error importing the module xActiveDirectory. Import failed with the following error: Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Storage.StorageException: The remote name could not be resolved: 'usgeoaasprod1.blob.core.windows.net' ---> System.Net.WebException: The remote name could not be resolved: 'usgeoaasprod1.blob.core.windows.net'

Is this a bug in my region?

  11. Automate setting up automation accounts and insert code for connection into new scripts

When setting up a run book you already set a subscription and automation account so setting up a connection should be simple but it is not unless you know the exact code to use. This is not easy to find as many of the help links embedded in the run book blade point to outdated information. Also, googling comes up with all sorts of variations due to many differences between Azure versions ,and Powershell versions and script types.
The graphical option is even more confusing to use.

  13. Allow adding a message to a change

When making an edit to a runbook, it would be useful to be able to add a message to that change, e.g. "Fixed bug on line 22"

  14. Alert for internal job error of Runbook

Currently there is no alerting mechanism to alert when jobs in automation accounts get Completed with errors. The job shows completed, which means the runbook script has executed ok, but when we go inside the job we can see errors. There should be some alerting configured to know that the Automation job has completed with errors.

  15. Start/Stop VMs during off-hours - specific VMs only?

I'm using the Start/Stop VMs during off-hours feature Azure Automation solution.
I'm trying to use it to start/stop a small number of specified VMs only (3 VMs).
I followed the instructions, running the ScheduledStartStop_Parent runbook and specifying the desired VMs in the VMList parameter, but at present, it's starting and stopping all VMs in all resource groups. It's literally processing all VMs in the subscription!

I've tried listing every single one of the other VMs into the "External_ExcludeVMNames" variable, but this is not a workable solution since if one of the excluded VMs is later deleted (this is a lab…

  16. No longer able to add the automation monitor to the dashboard?

When I created the automation account I (somehow?) added a monitoring chart to my dashboard.

I now need this chart in a different Azure dashboard, but there is no way to add it. It seems the functionality has been removed?

  18. Add Filter Search to Insert Dialogs

When using "Insert" to insert a setting or activity, it would be nice to have a full-text search filter to quickly narrow down results. Given that the Azure module has hundreds of activities already, will become increasingly tedious to locate what you want. This also fits with requests for intellisense and authoring tooling in VS or ISE.
