View or export Modules
The use of modules is very important in PowerShell authoring. Currently in Azure Automation, once you import a module, there is no way to view the current code that is implemented. This is challenging when you want to update a module or are troubleshooting an existing one. You can refer to source control but there is no guarantee that is what's implemented in Prod. Being able to see what is contained in a module or at least export out the zip would be helpful.
Thanks for the feedback Christopher! Are you interesting in the global modules or modules that you have imported yourself to Automation?
Hi Microsoft/Azure R&D,
I'm having a similar problem and it's a huge problem for us the customers who are using Azure Portal. I have had 1 Module under existing Automation Account and I'd like to Export that Module to another Automation Account however it's not possible at all. When I click on the existing Module there is no option to Export/Download the Module. However When I want to Import a Module under a new Automation Account there's an option to Upload/Import! It does not make sense from End-user Experience and perspectively that we are being given the option to Import a module onto Azure however there is no option at all to Export/Download the existing Module. Worst case our automations do not work simply because we cannot Export for Import and the Module does not exist/no longer exist in Azure Gallery. Please help to improve the Azure Portal functionality from end-user's perspective ASAP.

I have the same issue, it looks like a module has been updated outside source control. I need to get to the uploaded code to replicate in source control :-(

Thanks Beth! Mostly ones I've imported myself. As the usage of modules increases, there will be times where I need to see what is currently in use in Prod at any given time. At this time, I have to rely on what's in source control, which may not be correct. Some way is needed to see what is currently implemented at any given time. Thanks!
