Why on Earth was this new functionality introduced using the outdated Python 2?
For Python 3 support please consider Azure Functions.
The product team has noted this suggestion and will consider it if resourcing allows.
Please upgrade to Python 3

This seems important to consider as support for Python 2 is being dropped on January 1st, 2020.
Azure functions is not the same service as Azure Automation. Some of the management functionality that exists in Automation accounts is very helpful in managing team runbooks that functions doesn't provide.
Please please please upgrade Automation to work with Python 3.
