AZURE Admin Login Notifications by email or SMS.
I have been plagued by unbelievable security issues with my ISP MediaTemple for more than 2yrs now. After contacting more than 10 ISP's over a 1yr period it seems that there is no functionality in the marketplace to allow the primary ADMIN of a ISP cloud/webhosting account, in this case the admin user of a Azure, to be notified by SMS or email when someone logs into the admin account to view/modify settings.
An example. Someone sniffed my packets and passwords. Logged into my admin account. Changed DNS and Zone file records and put a MX redirect so that all IP coming in and out of all of my domains was forwarded to a 35 character google server account tied to an ip address in russia. I had no idea this was happening as there was no notifications sent to me that changes to any of my domains had taken place. For months this was going on. I lost more than 12M in projects as all work, companies that I am working with and potential clients projects were grabed and sold to other competitors.
All of this can be easily avoided by a notification that a login had taken place. The logs of what was changed (assuming that AZURE allows admins to look at this) is available. This should be a minimum feature in ANY ISP along with the IP address of where the login's are taking place.
This ridiculously simple piece of functionality can be implemented in no more than 1week and should be rolled out ASAP.
Thanks for the feedback. We’ll look into this.
