Scheduled Jobs targeting AppService WebJob fail under Free Tier
I recently encountered much difficulty creating scheduled job under free tier with the new portal. It is my understanding that I can have 5 scheduled jobs, each of which can run every hour.
However this does not work when you are targeting an App Service WebJob. It continually complains about missing credentials, however it is impossible to enter authorization credentials (only for plans Basic and higher )
Please see my question for more details on stackoverflow
I recently had a phone call with a support engineer who finally helped my to get the scheduled job running. By adding my user name and password of the WebJob to the web hook.
This is not documented anywhere so if I didn't have the assistance I would never have known to resolve it that way.
Please can Azure team fix this?
Furthermore documentation is out of date, it describes a process which is not possible anymore because the classic portal features have been removed.
docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service-web/… "The Azure Portal doesn't yet have the ability to create a scheduled WebJob, but until that feature is added you can do it by using the classic portal" However this capability has been removed recently from the classic portal.
I logged into the portal, to check status several hours later. And the job is failing again, the solution didn't work. This is terrible. Are you guys going to fix this?
