when creating new resources I find the 'new resource selector' and then the create blades are in the way once I have selected the type of resource and determined to create it.
I always find myself minimizing those two places over and over again to see the resource group or other previous blade for names and to help me fill out the fields more accurately.
in the screenshot I have the 2 I mention minimized.
It would be so helpful to automatically minimize certain blades as you traverse to the next blade.1 vote
We’re working on a new design that will make better use of screen real estate. That should mitigate your concerns here.
Please please get rid of the leftmost menu and replace it with the menu that appears after clicking Browse
I hate clicking Browse to see the full list of services. It's an extra click for me. Put the full list on the leftmost panel and keep the filter textbox. Or merge the two menus together keeping the current leftmost panel at the top and full list at the bottom so users can still see most commonly used services. This is driving me nuts.1 vote
Interesting idea. I like it as an option. Makes sense. Let’s see how many people up-vote this and we can get it into the backlog.
When I use the "Switch Tasks" dropdown it always takes me a second to translate the words to the services in my head. Often the different services used in an app have similar names. There's some blank space on the left side of the dropdown; squeezing an icon in there would make it easier to find the service I'm looking for at a glance.1 vote
Good idea. Would you rather see the icon for the first or last blade?
You make the navigation move right by every click but when I close the window it doesn't return me back to the previous place, I would like to return back to the same place before my last click if I close the window1 vote
We can look into this
Using Chrome, I find that sometimes a new column opens but then the view scrolls to the right so that column is mostly off the screen.1 vote
Apologies for inconvenience.
Can you share some screenshot to help us identify? Also, chrome version would be really helpful.
Azure Portal continues on and on when you clicking on resources (endless loop journeys). Surely it should know that the blade to the left is the one it’s trying to open and just go there?1 vote
