  1. Portal should show Resource Name for support requests

    Enhance the way support requests are listed in the Portal. Display resource name involved in the support request so that it is clear which request is linked to which specific resource (by name, not just type and subscription ID).

    I support 20+ data warehouse within a single subscription. The current portal does not show the actual resource name associated with a support case, only the resource type and subscription.

  2. Make available the recursive size of a folder in the data lake in both powershell and data lake data explorer

    Make available the size of a folder and all files and folders contained within in, both from powershell and the data lake data explorer. We can do this by writing a custom script in powershell but it's slow and surely a common task.

    Please provide a cmdlet that returns the recursive size for a given data lake folder and ideally also make that data available in the data lake data explorer

  3. Allow sorting of data lake files viewed through data explorer by date modified, size, and name; both ascending and descending

    Allow sorting of data lake files and folders viewed through data explorer by date modified, size, and name; both ascending and descending. This functionality is surely very simple to implement and also makes the data lake data explorer a lot more usable.

  4. 'More services' button looks wrong

    In Firefox(56.0.2) the icon of 'More services' button in the left-bottom corner looks like 'ㄱ' not '>'.

  5. Add

    In MAG Portal add the AAD Directories and permissions you are a part of in the top right where your profile is located.

    Need a good view in MAG for summary of permissions like Azure Commercial.

  6. Side scrolling is for the birds.

    Side scrolling can be done away with.

  8. Bring Documentation link button to every resource Overview blade

    Hi.
    It would be good to provide "Documentation" button to every resource overview blade.
    In case of Storage account, it could be; Open in Explorer / Move / Documentation / Delete.

  9. Proper searching for VMs based on Size and other VM fields

    The current search is woefully inadequate. Check how AWS makes the portal usable, and allows ability to search resources with regex even.

  10. Add an indicator to the portal page title to show that an update is running, to prevent constant tab flipping

    When doing an update, the little bell icon has a running indicator to show that an update is in progress. But very often an update is connected to something going on in another browser tab - so I find myself quite often switching back to the Azure portal page to check if the update has finished.

    If you add an indicator to the title element of the portal page that shows that there are still pending updates, that would prevent the constant flipping between tabs.

  12. Great if all azure resources pertaining to one site displayed in a flow chart with links. Click link to navigate to resource

    Enhancement, easy to learn azure, easy to learn project application.
    It is easy to learn by diagrams and quick learn the application flow and make better decisions on right time.
    As of now it is time taking to find a particular resource and no way to understand how they are linked with each other and with the site. How the site utilizes these resources.

  13. Have the option to filter by User Type when managing All users

    We currently have the ability to filter the All Users list to 'Show only guest users', but it would be really helpful to be able to apply a filter to the list to identify those accounts that are considered Members i.e. 'Show only Member users'. This would be most useful when creating groups that require only members to be added.

  14. Pinnable Services Blade

    As a newcomer to Azure, I'm not yet used to the icons and I prefer keeping the services blade to the left expanded. However, it doesn't offer a pin option. Everything else does but this.

    In the meantime I've created a script which I use with CJS Extension in Chrome to keep it open at all times:

    (function(){ // Create a closure because good
    var originalAddClassMethod = jQuery.fn.addClass; // Your base, I'm in it!
    jQuery.fn.addClass = function(){
    var result = originalAddClassMethod.apply( this, arguments ); // Execute the original method.
    jQuery(this).trigger('cssClassChanged'); // trigger a custom event
    return result; // return the…

  15. Re-add (toggle?) vertical scroll to 'Favorites' menu

    The favorites menu on the left used to support a vertical scroll bar... it does not appear to be enabled anymore. Though the menu is still scrollable, it must be done with a mouse wheel or touch screen. This /inhibits/ the ability to be cognizant that downstream favorite items may exist. At the very least, please allow the feature to be a toggled via the portal settings area. I've seen customers with non-touch screen laptops affected the most by current UI.

  16. Right click functionality to Start/Stop/Delete while viewing a VM in the Resource group

    While under a resource group in the web portal add right click functionality to start/stop/delete virtuals without having to click on them.. start.. then back out to the RG again. The only right click functionality now is pin to dashboard.. more would be useful to save time.

  17. Add refresh button to Inbound/Outbound security rules blade.

    Setting firewall takes time.
    It would be good to give Refresh button on Inboud/Outbound security rules blade.

  18. display

    Hi,

    It will be great if Azure includes search of resources based on the resource TYPE. Let me know if it is already implemented.

    Thanks,
    Chaitanya

  19. Blades extending to End of window makes horizontal navigation jarring

    The way in which blades now extend to the full screen is jarring when checking resources, meaning many more clicks to navigate to different resources
