Get rid of the "extension" resources in the portal
During the last couple of days, the portal has been changed so that all "extension" resources are surfaced directly in the portal. This provides absolutely no valu, and just clutters an already cluttered ui even more. For vm extensions, there's no way to see the extension log using the new resources, these are still surfaced thru the vm resource. So: Ged rid of these resources, or at least provide an option to hide them.

managing custom images & disks options not available in ARM
Managing custom OS images (generalised & specialised images) option is not available in ARM portal. But the same is available in classic portal, Also it will be useful browsing custom image option option while creating VM.

It would be helpful to display "os disk (classic)" and "vm images (classic)" blades in order to identify each history easily.

Private static IP address during VM creation
It would be nice to have the option to assign a private static IP address while we select the options to create a VM using the new portal (not using the classic portal, and not via powershell).
At the moment, it's possible to create some of the components of a VM (Network Security Group, Address Space, Storage Account, etc) prior creating the VM itself and assign them to it... all but the network interface. No matter what you end up having a randomly generated NIC with a dynamic IP address (which you can change afterwards to static).

Moving resource groups - have an "uncheck all" box
currently, if i want to move 1 thing to a different resource, i have to uncheck allt he other resources. this is unfeasible when there are a lot of things in one resource group. there needs to be an "uncheck all" button

ability to find resources by owner/creator user
In a shared subscription, ability to find the resources created by me would help manage them easily.

Expand items to monitor and send alerts and create reports on.
It may also be great to incorporate a method of monitoring and setting up alerts for Hard drive space/blob storage capacity reaching its maximum.
I understand that within the VM it may be hard to report on but at least on the blob and container level, that would be a great tool and functionality to have.
Another item is maybe having a repository within Azure to be a log container that VMs within Azure can send their syslogs to, and Azure will be able to interact with.
This would be a great way of extracting alerts/logs from within the VM…

Lite Management studio for queries
I would be nice to have a Lite management studio for SQL server database. Visula studio on desktop is very heavy and sometime you just need to run some queries.

Virtual Machine Portability on WAN for Customers Elasticity
Current virtualization software supports transparent VM migration between physical servers on the same LAN but WAN migration remains a challenge due to the need for network reconfiguration and storage migration.

Suspend Resource Locks
It would be great if I could set a lock to "suspend" for a period of time. Today if I need to make changes with read-only or delete a sub component when delete is set, I have to remove the lock completely. That means I have to create a new lock and I have to remember to create a new lock when I am done. For shared resources I'm thinking of applying a lock for each consuming resource to avoid accidental deletion until all consumers have been disconnected. Query Stateful data
I want a way to "Query" data stored in a Stateful services. I am not referring to Linq querying during debugging, but say on, Prod environment while troubleshooting i need a way to know if the data i am looking for exists in the "State" or not.

Two tier, Three tier resource group template
if we have resource group as built in templates like
two tier - web and sql
three tier - web - other logic and sql

UI does not update on template creation
When creating a template that creates a new resource group and a number of resources, the UI does not update to include all the resources in the group. The deployment status does not update with the steps completed or in-process. Hitting refresh on the blade of the resource group does show the created resources, not sure why it does not update on its own, which is the expected behavior. The deployment status is not udpdated until the browser itself is refreshed. The expected behavior is to update automatically or at least when the refresh button on the resource group blade…

Ability to visualize your Azure engagement
I have ended up managing many Azure resources (my own and customers') attached to many accounts (including my work and personal account that have the same email). I find it very difficult to get an overview of what engagement I have. What account do I use to manage that resource? What am I allowed to do here? What subscriptions do I have? What directory is connected to this account? I am also struggling with understanding the basic structure of Azure (admins roles, subscriptions etc).
