If you haven’t tried the portal in a while please give it a try.
Performance has been a key area of feedback and one where we have been focusing much of our efforts. We’ve been improving performance across all areas, specifically focusing on portal startup, performance of resource blades, and core portal experiences (like All resources). Measurements were done based on real usage (using telemetry) across all users and geographies. We tracked median and 95 percentile for each focus area.
As a result, you will enjoy of a faster experience with the portal. A few numbers:
• We improved portal startup +50%
• On average we improved resource blade (Web App, VM, and SQL) load +300%
Feel free to open new ideas for specific areas where we can continue to improve performance.
Portal is still very slow. Using Operations Management Suite, it is extremely slow.
Today is the first time using azure only to test creating an azure storage account and have been waiting more than 15 minutes, nothing is being shown. Only your fxs-progress 3 dots animation is being displayed to me. Yet you are expecting people to switch from AWS to Azure!!??
2017 August and it's slow likes websites from 10 years ago. especially OMS portal. I don't know why do you guys can get contract from my company but I will tell my boss to leave it. Azure is just for small companies.
Portal Metrics basically unusable as is too slow. Switching from line chart to bar chart take 1 minute, changing time periods from week to a month takes almost as long as a week or a month!
Very poor using Safari on MacBook Pro. Am looking elsewhere now.
Still way too slow - why does AWS get this right and you don't?
still too slow
Creating 6 accounts with basic settings takes 1,5 h! Its completely unacceptable. We decided to leave Azure at all. This environment is not ready to production use yet. Slow portal is one thing there is much more craps around.

Oh Well this comment will probably be like poking a hornets nest, Red Rag to a Bull etc. etc. etc.
I can’t see what all the fuss is about Seem to be a bash Microsoft comment section.
Personally I find the speed of the portal to be more than adequate for both our development and productions environments
I haven’t as yet found any of these issues that people are constantly moaning about
If you can’t stand the portal ***** on with PowerShell and stop spending all your time GUI bashing
Azure portal and provisioning team needs to be replaced. Provisioning a VM, creating virtual network, acquiring IP address is slow as a moving glacier. It's been 30 minutes and still waiting to get the virtual network to be created. How can I trust you to host my application when your own portal is more sluggish than a snail? Maybe we should tweet this to the CEO and CTO in order to get things moving faster.
The portal is very pretty, but still slow...
how can you mark this as completed when its still so slow. i prefer the classic version of your portal. that was better. please do something
Upload button for azure file storage takes 1-2 minutes to even register I've clicked it. Sometimes it does not work at all.
I usually have to press it 20-30x before anything happens, when it finally works the button press is instant.
Generally all screens load extremely slowly.
I've been waiting 30 minutes to try to change some account information on the portal. I'm questioning why I'm about to give Microsoft money for hosting when their own site runs so poorly.
far too slow, far too slow, far too slow. feels like i'm running 56k dialup with azure.
Still really slow in multiple places. 10-20 seconds between mouse clicks is unacceptable.
