i cannot believe a company that is worth a trillion dollars released the portal as production app.
i have used aws for years w/no issues. though i'd give azure a try.
i started vms and signed up for subscription. everything was working fine, except when i got first bill. i clicked on the bill to pay it, logged in and it told me I wasn't authorized to do this.
i tried this several times, with cookie clearing and incognito. same result. i then submitted a support request, including how to recreate including the urls and detailed error messages. several days later somebody responded. she found my subscription but completely ignored everything in my request. they wanted me to perform a network trace! to login and pay a $3 bill!!!
how can this portal be a production app when the second time i login to it, you have to network trace to figure out whats happening???
it gets worse tho- i logged back into the portal to see if i could pay the bill without using the link in the microsoft email. now the portal is displaying nothing- no vms, no networks, no subscriptions, no billing information! bizzare as I only have one azure account and it's the same one I getting bills for- even though the account now appears to have all the stuff wiped out of it.
low and behold though the vm are still up and running- just logged into verify. yet the portal doesn't know my subscription nor the vms exist, even though they're also trying to bill me for them.
now the support person wants me to schedule a call with them- to pay a $3 bill for a vm, I need tech support. (note i own a software company, and the person requesting a call ignored all the info in my original request to ask for it again... so i'm not expecting that doing a phone call with her is going to be a good use of my time).
such an embarrasment. i think this maybe my last time ever using azure.
