I'd desperately love to use wildcards (* or %) when searching or filtering through Devices, Users, or other objects in the Azure portal for our tenant. We have thousands of computers, and there is limited filtering available based on string characters from the beginning of a machine or user name, but enabling use of wildcards in the search box would be incredibly helpful. (e.g. tons of machines named "BuildingRoom-123", "BuildingRoom-456", etc. could all be returned using "BuildingRoom-*" or "BuildingRoom-%" in the search box...
This is a very good suggestion and we definitely look into this. However, i would also recommend you using Azure Resource Graph explorer twhich lets you write customized queries to view your resources.

Wildcard search on ALL Azure and M365 search fields is a MUST!
Example; If I need to select accounts to be excluded from a policy.
Without the possibility to use wildcard is a tedious and insane task to perform if you have 2.000 accounts to look through!
I can go on and on with examples like this where without wildcard we have to manually look though all accounts! Unacceptable!
PLEASE ADD WILDCARD FUNCTIONALITY TO ALL SEARCH FIELDS IN AZURE AND M365! THIS SHOULDBE A MUST EVERYWHERE!
