Search resource based on dns name or ip address
Because azure now support custom dns name, is just so hard to find a resource based on them in the azure portal. It would be nice to be able to search any resouce based on the dns name or even better search them by using the ip address.

I understand that the cloud development means agile and features will be released based on popularity/seeking, however that doesnt mean you can ignore such small impactful basic needs forever. there needs to be centralized views for this kind of data across the tenant, to make troubleshooting easier.
from an external point of view, it feels like paas service teams are currently in out of sync with the devices blade on vnets as well, isnt networking team pm working with paas teams to walk them through standardization?

It's ridiculous that MS doesn't provide an IP search feature. It's essential to supporting a large corporate environment. This was sold as a enterprise solution without enterprise technology.

Yes, we need a way to search everything for an IP. It is essential for troubleshooting issues.
Agreed. Please allow search by IP address.
Just like a regular search can pull results from different contexts (services, marketplace, documentation, etc) it would be great if the search for an IP address would show results of public IP resource, VM's associated, NSG's containing it, Maybe if it is associate with an AppService or other resource type, etc.

Agreed. Why can't you use the "Search resources, services, and docs" search field to search for IP addresses? It's just crazy you can't. For example, when I see an endpoint communicating with an Azure IP address in my firewall logs nd I want to know what it is, I want to be able to just type in the IP address in the search field and have it's associated resource displayed.
