creation date as a first order property for all resources and resource groups
If I have a list of resources or resource groups (retrieved via rest api), I want to be able to sort them by creation date. This would also be useful for portal.azure.com in that you too could add the creation date as a sortable row for all lists of resources and resource groups. This boilerplate feature is noticeably absent. Thank you.

Any indication this is getting anywhere on any roadmap?

@Microsoft: come on guys, it's easy to implement
100% in complete and total agreement. The lack of this basic feature makes it so much more difficult to keep track of resource sprawl.
only 59 votes sof far?? every filesystem provides infos like that why not azure?? IT is sooo basic requirement to get "who created the resource and when" information from azure but after searching for ours it seems really NOT possible to get this information from any api, even don't talk about the UI in portal?!

I'm seeing a lot of comments requesting the same thing I'm looking for:
Who created the resource and when was the resource created.
Please expose the following fields to all Azure resources ASAP:
- Creation Date

creation date and also who has created such resource for the first time would also help a lot!

It's almost impossible to tell which are the new Azure resources in any given subscription. For example, let's say a tech lead or cost optimization lead needs to review everything that is created daily, weekly or monthly. How is that supposed to happen unless the creation date is associated with the resource? I could attempt to figure this out via the billing APIs but its a huge struggle to figure this out. Without this being a first order property, we are only left with the option of tagging these resources ourselves with the creation date. In large environments, deploying automation to add creation date tag attributes can be complicated because we don't have tag write access in all subscriptions. Not to mention, we have to develop, build, pay and maintain automated processes to perform this task on every single new resource. MS - Please do this for us to make cloud life easier!

This is common sense. Please add this feature as soon as possible. While doing so, please add who did it, and when it was updated, and also by whom.

Such an function would be very helpfull for some monitoring & reporting purposeses.
Ditto, thanks all..... You need to add creation data and created by asap! I'm amazed this was overlooked. It's impossible to establish context for your subscription without this information

And also 'CreatedBy' is another important missing column.

by first order, I mean that 'creation date' is as important as 'name' and 'type'.
