How can the Azure portal be improved?

Display proper Scale Set instance machine name in Azure Portal

Currently Azure Portal displays Instance ID and Computer Name in Azure Portal, under Instance blade for a Scale Set.

The Computer Name displayed in Azure Portal is not the same as "computerName" which is a property of osProfile. "computerName" JSON property is the Windows machine name whereas where as "Computer Name" label in Azure Portal is the Azure's name for Scale Set instance. They are not the same.

We use resources.azure.com to view JSON schema for each Scale Set
instance.

Without proper computerName displayed in Azure Portal it is not easy for us to identify which Windows VM needs to be reimaged or upgraded. It is because the the computerName that Azure Portal provides does not identify the Windows machine name.

Here is a practical example. Let's say we install Application Insights on each Scale Set instance. Through Application Insights monitoring we determine that an instance needs to be reimaged. Application Insights will provide us with Windows Machine name. Our next step is then to go to Azure Portal and pick the right instance from the list. But how do we know which one to pick? How do we map the Windows computer name to the computer name displayed in the Azure Portal grid?

Thank you,
Alex
