Portal VM size/type selection layout slow to use (just awful)
If you create a new VM in Azure, then you have to choose a VM type.
By default it shows you 3 "recommended" VM types.
I have never ever used these types. As we mostly use VMs with more than 2 cores. So I have to switch the layout to "View all" every time.
And then you have to scroll through 10 pages of VMs....
If have pre-choosen the VM type you want to use, it still takes a lot of time to find that specific VM.
But if you have not yet decided which VM you want to use, it gets worse:
You have a slider for "Minimum vCPUs", but this does not help. If you set it to 4, then you have only 8 pages (instead of 10) to scroll through.
And then it is really hard to choose a VM type.
For example I know that I want exactly 4 vCPUs. Then I scroll page by page, trying to find all sizes with 4 vCPUs. And while I do that, I try to remember the prices of all the sizes I find. I have created a paper note with a small table of the VMs I found. And if you are not sure if you want to use 4 or 8 CPUs, ....
First, pleasae add a slider for Max vCPUs, simple and a tiny change for you.
And PLEEEEASE change the whole UI into a simple, tiny table.
You show only 9 values of each VM, a 9-column wide table is not that big.
Perhaps you can even implement this brandnew rarely-known super-complicated feature to sort data by price or CPUs!
(Sorry for the irony, but I am nerved by that UI right now)
