  1. include VM memory metrics as basic monitoring metrics (similar to CPU and Network)

Basic monitoring metrics on CPU and Network are included as part of the subscription cost of the VM. Why the equally elementary metrics on Memory usage are excluded and required customers to pay an extra on the underlying storage account for this basic need?

Why there is discrepancy on the principle applied to CPU/Network metrics vs. Memory metrics?

  2. App insights Logs Search Results Export

I would say the same way we have available the action to create a work item on Azure DevOps in relation to a specific Logs Entry on the App Insights, it would be huge benefit to be able to export the log entry to send to other external users.

  3. Correctly log the user moving subscriptions

Hi,recenlty we had an issue due to an human error.
An operator accidentally moved a subscription from between two tenants.
From the log available on the portal we could not identify who did this activity.
It would be very helpful to have this kind of activity correctly logged

  4. Ingest Azure DevOps Audit logs

Currently in Azure DevOps the audit logs are retained for only 90 days. Additionally, searching through the audit logs requires a download of csv/json audit logs.

There needs to be functionality between Azure Workspace and Azure DevOps so that Audit logs at an Organization level can be ingested into a Workspace. Our corporate security has requirement that audit logs be maintained far beyond 90 days. The only solution now is to cron a script to load audit data to some external data store. Why not extend the current capabilities of workspaces, monitoring and app insights to include ingesting Azure DevOps…

  6. Monitor traffic to utilize the virtual machine efficiently for the consumers

Constant monitoring of traffic of each Virtual Machines for a company, if traffic less over a period of time for a website then reduced the number Virtual machines in use to reduce the cost of the customer.

Scenario - suppose a website abc@d.com use two virtual machine V1 and V2 which handle 200 request at time. Over period of time it is observed that the website only reach 100 hits. So to reduce the cost of company abc@d.com one of Virtual machine can be stopped and stopped changing for the Virtual Machine to the customer. Once traffic back to 200…

  7. Notification of the Azure Portal issue in Resource / Service Health.a

Could you help to add the function for user to confirm the small-scale portal issue from resource / service health?
(Example issue: Users don't able to list resources due to Azure Platform Problem.)

Large scale incidents are now notified in service health, but small-scale issues are not informed.
So, I think it would be nice to be able to check the portal condition from resource health on each subscription.

Moreover, it will be very useful if you can also add a feature to display these issues as a banner on the portal.

  9. allow not operator when searching azure ad sign-ins log by location

I would like a way to search the azure ad sign-ins log for locations NOT = US (or any other country). Currently, there is not a way to do this. I need to search on each non-US country code individually (i.e. IN, RO, MX, GB, etc), and there are many. Allowing the use of the not operator would allow me to see this information with a single search.

Thanks for the valid suggestion. Your feedback is now open for the user community to upvote & comment on. This allows us to effectively prioritize your request against our existing feature backlog and also gives us insight into the potential impact of implementing the suggested feature.

  10. Enable Intuitive error data collection with in portal upon user impact failures

Often we land into issues and Support engineers respond to tickets asking for logs and forward to engineering or PG groups, why not collect all that you can.. here is some strategy I propose, come up with the integration of error and data capture with in portal - upon any user impact failures, resulting in a popup like "we experienced a hiccup, do you wish to retry" with an unique reference id and checkbox which packages the session data and uploads to microsoft servers(under user name) for future reference and ticket logging.. this approach would be much intuitive and user…

  11. Source and Destination IP and Port/Protocol

I have no way to understand what kind of traffic is being blocked by NSG rules.

Currently, the NSG Flow Logs log what rule is blocking it and the associated conditions, but not the details that matched this condition (which is the meat and potatoes of the log).

I really need to know Source / Destination IP and Source / Destination Protocol & Port to make use of these logs.

This should be included somewhere in the flow logs, or diagnostic logs that go Storage Accounts.

  12. Need documentation portal for depricating features...

I find it hard to get information on the features and resources that are being deprecated in Azure. It would be good to have a central location to go to get this information so that we can search for an item that is being deprecated, and then find the action items that we need to perform in order to deal with that deprecation, and ideally timelines. Ie, not before x date, and not after Y date.

This could be expanded to a Azure Monitor window that will show us the items that are going to be deprecated, and what we…

  13. is there no way for us to add an application like iOS Accounts to the list of approved client app from the Access Control section of CA

There no way for us to add an application like iOS Accounts to the list of approved client app from the Access Control section of CA policy. This would be beneficial in the event we are wanting to implement conditional access for iOS accounts or other third party applications that use modern authentication.

  14. Check Progress of SQL Data Warehouse Resume via Portal

Perhaps this is already logged, but I couldn't find it, so am adding this.

It would be great if additional information was made available via portal to check the progress of a SQL data warehouse "resume" operation in order to determine if the operation is stuck or not.

In my scenario, the server that the DW instance was allocated was under pressure, and due to this Azure needed to bounce and retry the operation to allocate the DW instance to a server with appropriate resources.

  15. log an event when App Service exceeds an Service Plan quota

If an App Service plan quota is exceeded you don't get any alerts. If this was logged in the Azure activity log, you could setup an alert for it. I know you can monitor if your site is up, but if this specific alert was raised, you could automate the resolution

  18. User at risk detected

This service is a lot less useful than it should be.

It should be possible to exclude such things as Citrix farms from "User at risk".

People can be logged in concurrently from both their PC and Citrix without there being a problem. The same applies to the use of a jump server.

  20. Have the ability to monitor VM services on the dashboard or with alerts

It'd be great to be able to select some (or all) of the Windows VM Services (from services.msc) to be monitored (ideally on the dashboard) so we can keep an eye on critical services.
