The Azure Portal a central place where you can provision, manage and monitor your Azure resources. From the Azure Portal you can create any of the thousands of items within the Azure Marketplace, you can quickly navigate to resources and accomplish your administrative needs, and you can build custom shareable dashboards to provide live insights into your deployed resources.

  1. Add an option in Teams for the option to pop out a chat like there is in Skype.

    When holding a chat with an individual, and switching back to a channel, the experience is a little clunky. Would be helpful if the chat could be popped out into a separate window.

  2. Customizable Blade for integration of own services

    It would be great if there is an option to integrate own services in the Azure Portal.

    Lets think about automation webhooks or 3rd party itsm tool or other rest calls hooked into azure portal, so that an user ist not in the need to change the portal.
    So we will be able to place buttons for automation tasks, reports, order forms or similar.

    Without that, users have to switch to other portals and leave azure for management tasks and come back for administration tasks. Or they have to build the administration tasks in other tools and not use azure…

  3. Automatically set the inquiry language based on the language set in Azure Portal.

    "English" is the default when registering a support request
    Please set user's language as default.

  4. Rename regions to country/city names

    Currently some regions are named by country names, and some are continent names. It causes confusion to users. It would be clear if all the region names are aligned to country or city names, for example:

    East Asia -> Hongkong, China
    Southeast Asia -> Singapore

  6. Make Help-Center of Azure Portal work!!!

    It is insane that Microsoft created the portal for communication with the customers, and this point of contact does not work.

    As the Azure expert did a great job and has provided a proper solution with print-screens - we should be able to see them.

    Analysis:
    The MS Expert had use an email to respond (guess: the tickets are delivered via email?), where he could use rich-text or HTML email formatting. The portal displays pure TEXT so no attachments are available.

    This is to put it nicely - LAME - as it is a Microsoft who has delivered this non-functioning…

  7. make dropdown menus and allow us to select keys and addresses instead of having us use a notepad to keep track of what we made.

    I have to keep a notepad to keep track of my connection strings and keys. It's very confusing sometimes to figure out what to fill in text fields. It would be great to have a meaningful contextual name or the string itself prepopulated in a dropdown or searchable dropdown menu to pick from instead.

  8. Ability to Copy/Clone a resource.

    Ex: If i have to create multiple VMs with same configuration, I need to follow the same set of action multiple times. Instead if an option to clone an existing resource is available it will be helpful

    Alternatively provide a different taxonomy dictionary that groups by parent product group - eg Azure Networking, or Azure Identity rather than discrete product categories.

    This would also allow for RSS feeds to hit respective customer audiences that have a discipline in a field (networking, security, identity, etc..) - reduce the white noise and allow them to focus on updates that are relevant to them

  10. enable the "Support Request Contributor" role to be scope at the resource group level for opening premier tickets.

    Currently we are operating in a shared subscription model where each app team is assigned specific resource group(s) and their access is scoped at this level. For them to open premier tickets from ARM, they have to be added as Support Request Contributor at the subscription level.
    This enables visibility to all resource groups in the subscription and impacts the experience of the user. The complaints I have received are "Now I have to search for my resource group" and "I thought we had our own subscription"

  12. Delegate clearing Azure MFA options to other roles not Global Administrators

    Why not allow global administrators to delegate access to manage/clear Azure MFA options on users (or group of specific users) to another role, e.g. User Account Administrator, or Helpdesk Administrator, etc.?

  13. Hide Email in Upper Right

    To help comply with anti-doxxing patterns, it would be nice to have the option to hide email in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

    I'm recording/streaming coding content and wish to show some Azure work without giving away my email. Options like "Name only", "Name and Email", or "Email only" would save me a lot of effort

  15. Portal.Office.com - Switch Directory on the fly for B2B users (Like Portal.Azure.com)

    The directory switch for Portal.Azure.com is great please add same function for Portal.Office.com

    This will make things much less confusing for people who are in multiple tenants!

    I suggest that the interface allow the editing of backup policies avoiding the need to create new policy when the need to reset period and retention.

  17. Improve Portal Performance

    The Azure Portal performance is horribly slow! The blades take too much time to load and keep moving back and forward while loading. Switching from one "Blade Flow" to another take about half a minute of loading time.

    I know there is already an issue similar to this in this User Voice, however someone from Microsoft marked the task as Completed. Clearly this is not completed or fixed. Our whole company is adopting Microsoft Azure and this is the number one complaint that I have. I can also help replicate it if need be, but I am sure it is…

    Hey,

    This is something we’re still actively working on. It has a been a big area of investment and it still is moving forward. We keep investing in performance, both from a client and server side perspective.

    We have a few things coming in the near future which should help address some of the initial UI performance issues. We’re also heavily engaged with all of our partners driving a broad effort to improve performance across the portal for all experiences.

    If you have any specific areas which are causing pain please feel free to reach out to me or comment and state if we can contact you, it would be great to understand the common pain points.

  18. Reduce the browser memory footprint, and elimnate the memory leaks.

    There seem to be some rather significant memory leaks in the Portal Dashboard. I've made the mistake of leaving it running overnight a few times, and the browser process working memory use, with the portal being the only browser tab open is often in excess of 1.5 GB. This is with no tiles open. In a few cases, I could not unlock the computer and had to reach across the network to kill the iexplore.exe process before I could gain local access.

  20. The Language translation bar should put on top of the page.

    As many of the individuals are seeking local language pages, people don't know the button exists, which would be better on the top banner, so people can know it and convert it into their home language right away.
