1. Problem with creating Twitter identity provider on B2C tenant

While creating identity provider as Twitter on B2C tenant, there is wierd callback URL adres (screen in attachment):

https://b2cteam.b2clogin.com/b2cteam.onmicrosoft.com/your-user-flow-id/oauth1/authresp

The provider is not functional after creation of course. Also this address can not be changed.

Every other provider have this address exatly:

https://b2cteam.b2clogin.com/b2cteam.onmicrosoft.com/oauth2/authresp

I would expect this address on Twitter configuration too.

I also tried another B2C tenant which has the same problem just with Twitter.

Thanks for feedback.

2. App Services Deployment Center Security Bug

There's a current security loophole in your system where if someone provides a link to the current Deployment Center, a user that does not have write permission but have read permission will be able to view the logs. They do not seem to have access to click on the buttons, but they might be able to see other parts they shouldn't have access to.

Steps to replicate:
1) Login as a user with read-only permissions
2) Have a user with both write and read permission provide a link to the Deployment center
3) User with read-only permission will be…

4. Limitations on Privileged role administrator's rights.

I recently tested which rights a "Privileged role administrator" because it's the only role (except Global Administrator) which gives access to managing Administrative units in Azure AD. When testing these rights I noticed that a "Privileged role administrator" has the ability to manage assignment of all Azure AD roles up to and including "Global administrator", something which in my opinion partially defeats the purpose of the role as it makes it quite simple to circumvent the limitations in place and gain Global administrator oneself.

6. Custom Domain in Azure web app bug

I created a Web app, using Basic Paid plan (a classic nodejs app in linux machine in West Europe).
I added a custom domain and a certificate. At some point I downgraded the app to the Free Plan and created a new Web App (Paid Plan). I wanted to add to the new app, the previous Custom Domain. I could not tho, because azure wanted me to remove the custom domain from the previous app. I could not do that also tho, because the app is now using Free Plan and I had no access to the custom subdomain and…

7. Dashboard time range and timerange override at the tile level are not working

The chart from a Workbook that I pinned to the dashboard all follow the initial time range at the time of the query.
The UTC time dropdown and the override at the tile level are not making any difference.

9. Microsoft CDN overwrites client IP-address

We had few days ago an attack on our website and to detect the IP address from aggressor, we enabled the client IP tracking in Application Insights.

Information about enabling:
https://apmtips.com/blog/2016/07/05/client-ip-address/
https://docs.microsoft.com/de-de/azure/azure-monitor/app/ip-collection

To deliver efficiency the webpage content, do we use Microsoft CDN instead direct traffic on web app.

Dataflow schema:
1. Browser > CDN (content expired) > web app

|

Browser < CDN (content updated) <

Standard dataflow:
1. Browser > web app

|

Browser <

We detected, that the in AI tracked client Ip-address is when we use the Microsoft CDN the ip address of Microsoft Frontdoor application.…

10. Azure Portal Desktop App Signing Cert Expired

11. IoT Hub: Add Module Identity ignores specified keys

In the portal, when examining an IoT Hub device and attempting to create a Module Identity with specified primary and secondary SAS keys (instead of autogenerated keys) - the client ignores the specified keys( sending null values), which causes the server to auto-generate the keys instead.

12. Please fix broken UI elements on iPadOS/Safari

Portal dropbown UI elements cannot be opened on ipad. Tapping on a dropbown in Safari on iPadOS flashes the contents of the dropdown but it immediately closes itself.

Additionally, certain text fields within blades are broken. Eg: when setting an authorization callback URI on an AAD application, the cursor is always forced to the right-most end of the string in the text box. If I click in the middle of the string and type any key, my cursor jumps all the way to the right.

13. OpenID Connect sub claim should be consistent

Currently the access token and id token that are issued have different "sub" claims even though the token request is for the same application registration...and the same request. This doesn't seem to match with the documentation and seems wrong. Can this be fixed please?

16. Azure Portal Bait and Switch

The selected resource unexpectedly changes when switching to the overview blade. Here are the steps I follow when the problem occurs:

1. From the portal home page search for and select a resource type, such as virtual networks

2. Select a virtual network from the list of all virtual networks in our tenant

3. Select the peering's blade to view the peering's for the selected virtual network

4. Click on another virtual network to view the peering's for it

5. Click the overview blade to view the overview (and enable the delete option)

On step 5, you would expect to see the overview for the…

17. When deleting VMSS instances Azure is deleting Healthy instances and keeping Unhealthy ones

I had an instance where we scaled down the number of VM instances in a VMSS from 5 to 2. It so happened that 2 of the 5 instances had not come up properly and were not in an Healthy state. We were not aware of this.

When we scaled down from 5 to 2 Azure deleted the 3 Healthy instances and kept the 2 Unhealthy ones.

This resulted in our whole system going down. This should be addressed as a bug in Azure.

18. i cannot believe a company that is worth a trillion dollars released the azure portal as production app

i cannot believe a company that is worth a trillion dollars released the portal as production app.

i have used aws for years w/no issues. though i'd give azure a try.

i started vms and signed up for subscription. everything was working fine, except when i got first bill. i clicked on the bill to pay it, logged in and it told me I wasn't authorized to do this.

i tried this several times, with cookie clearing and incognito. same result. i then submitted a support request, including how to recreate including the urls and detailed error messages. several days…
