allow users to customize their profiles similar to SSIS by removing tools they don't use
The current Azure portal is cluttered with dozens of tools under "Favorites". This makes the interface cumbersome and confusing - especially for new users. Allow users to set up their Favorites and relegate everything else to other bins which default to be collapsed similar to the interface for SSIS.

I want more theme of Azure Portal we can chose.
Currently, we can chose 4 theme for Azure Portal.
But, my organization have 6 tenants and I want each tenant have independent color. For this purpose, I want more themes.3 votes -
Ability to add dividers in the menu
When marking services as favorite, the left-hand menu can get crazy really fast. It would be nice to either customize the layout by being able to place custom dividers (thin horizontal lines, just like the favorites bar, but without a label, see attachment AzurePortal-Divider-CustomDivider.jpg)
Or group them by service (see AzurePortal-Divider-PerService.jpg)

Add virtual tabs to the portal
Sometimes you want to have a few resources 'open' without having to open multiple actual browser tabs. Can we get some in-portal virtual tabs that could be spawned per resource?
2 votesThanks for the great idea. We will definitely keep this in mind when we work on this.

AZ CLI command naming scheme to match AZ portal blades names/sub menu names. CLI and Portal users can be much more efficient.
AZ CLI command naming scheme to match AZ portal blades names/sub menu names. CLI and Portal users can be much more efficient.
For example if I'm on the Resource Group>Overview blade, I get information such as Sub.ID and a list of resources. In AZ CLI, if type the command of "AZ ResourceGroup Overview" I would get the same information.

Fix column width issues - disappearing columns
It's great to be able to add all the column options, but instead of having the screen scroll to show them, they just aren't there unless you collapse the ones that are already shown; and when you drag a column width slider to shrink it by 2 pixels the whole column shrinks to nothing and is overtaken by the column to the right of it.
I end up losing all my normal columns just because I'm trying to shrink them down a little bit and see the data I'm interested in.
I don't get it. Is it just me this…

Storage account services summary/filter
It is difficult to find out a blob/table/queue that you have created when you have many storage accounts and don't remember the storage account name. I have to navigate to each storage account and check each of the services. Also there is no filter on a storage account services. It would be nice to have a filter for blob/queue/table/files on the dashboard.
Also just displaying the summary of service that is created in that particular storage account would be helpful.7 votes -
Missing horizontal scrollbar in "Virtual Machines" pane after adding multiple columns
On the virtual machines pane in portal.azure.com, I had to edit the columns to show more attributes. That is when I realised that there is no horizontal scroll bar for me to review the columns. Please have this fixed on priority. Not having the horizontal scroll bar seriously limits to view multiple attributes.

multiple instance search
We need to have an option to search multiple instances at one point (comma seperated). This is often used by IaaS management

Portal UI Changes
The Azure Portal Interface changes too often. It make it difficult to find things from one day to the next and is very frustrating. Need to be thoughtful about these changes and to reduce the churn so customers can get their work done.

Allow group member list to be alphabetically sorted
When viewing the list of users in a group it looks like users are sorted by the order they where added to the group. Please add the ability for customized sorting, e.g. by username.

Programatically configure Azure Portal favorites
When onboarding new users, I'd like to be able to set a default set of favorites in the portal for a particular user or group, ideally programatically.
This would afford more control over the onboarding experience (we could remove things that are universally denied by policy, or introduce grades of user (novice and expert) and therefore be able to tailor the default setup accordingly.

Overhall the UI and UX
Azure is very difficult to use when you are not used to it - i.e. there is a high barrier to entry which should be a lot lower. I have noticed that once you actually figure out how to do stuff, it is very easy, but getting to that can take one days of effort.
I am teaching this to high school students and have found that even professionals struggle when they are new to the product. I would suggest looking at the interface and perhaps commissioning independent tutorials as well. Simply cutting down on the available options and displaying…

Searching All Services for "factory" doesn't show Data Factory
Many services have good keywords available so that searching for services is intuitive. However, for Azure Data Factory, when I search for "factory" under All Services I don't get any results. Instead, I have to know to search for "factories". Please fix this. See attached image to show what I am talking about.

Delete all Modern UI elements
There comes a point wherein you must realize that UI/UX design is not something HTLM/JS was designed to handle.
Build a stable platform, stop trying to lock people into an environment. Refactor your code, put your **** in System Center because consolidation.

Allow search for a VM by public IP address in portal
When SSL certificates are nearing expiry, I get an email with domain name/s associated with the certificate. Finding the IP address for a domain is easy in a hosting service's interface, but then finding the Azure VM with that IP in the portal is onerous to impossible. When managing large numbers of VMs, being able to filter by public IP address would be a welcome boon.

Improve search for DNS records
When searching for a record in a DNS zone with many records (+1000), it only searches in the "first page" - you have to press "Load more" multiple times before all the records are searched through.
