There is no way this email could properly reflect my frustration!
According to your own help files, deployment is easy (for a simple database - and I'm a simple man, so my databases are likewise): Just "deploy to Azure SQL"
But:
ssms 2012 does not support the new Azure sql v12 .. SO ...
update to ssms 2014 ... oops ... need to upgrade to sp1 (actually only needed cu6, but hey ... what's a download or two) ..
ssms 2014 sp1 will not deploy to Azure sql ... only to Azure VM
Yes ... I understand (after prowling the inter-webs for a while) that only 2014 Full Version purportedly supports this functionality now.

Long and short of it ... I've spent the entire evening (plus a couple of days or researching and patching) deploying a database that
should have deployed in minutes!

Come on people! You're better than this!
