Change Data Capture
Allow Change Data Capture in SQL Azure
It has been available in SQL server since 2008, the jump to SQL Azure seems logical.
This support is planned for SQL DB Managed Instances:
I don't understand why the Principal Product Planner would be confused about the difference between Change Tracking and Change Data Capture. We need the functionality of CDC. Change Tracking is not CDC.
We need CDC in Azure SQL Database. Where are we on this?
Do you consider MS SSIS to be CDC? It is available. However, we are just implementing IBM IIDR and it is my understanding that SSIS is not great. MS is building up Azure at a tremendous rate so wouldn't be surprised to see it up and running. Maybe the Azure team can provide roadmap for CDC Azure?

Change Tracking (CT) is inadequate for our needs. We need Change Data Capture (CDC), for reasons outlined in other posts.
Change Data Capture is now available on SQL 2016 Express (!!) but not yet on SQL Azure? Really? My client's whole "go to the cloud" db strategy was based on assumption that Axure was feature-equivalent (or better) than an free on-prem version .. please tell me its coming soon ?
We will have many Microservice databases in SQL Azure. Because of the number of databases querying to find changes for any Data warehouse needs is not feasible. We need to method of implementing Change Data Capture with Azure SQL Database.

Our web-based application will have a user data upload feature, and we need to enable rollbacks on all uploads. The historical data of Change Data Capture is essential to allow us to return data to a prior state...Change Tracking won't cut it. C'mon, let's get this in there! You're already charging Azure SQL users for DTUs, this won't impact your bottom line.

We are considering Azure largely because of the expense of continuing to license on-prem enterprise. CDC is one of the features that we use that keeps us on enterprise. We can not move to Azure unless this feature is available.
@Guy Haycock FYI, change tracking is not the same as change data capture: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645937.aspx
Do we have any ETA for this feature? What is the status?

Any news on this feature

We'd like to be able to capture historical data on certain important tables and data. For instance, on our products table, we'd like a record of each time the price changes, when it was made and by who. From what I've read, it appears that Change Data Capture is not available on SQL Azure and this is the server we are using to house our DB. Change Data Capture is exactly what we are looking for.
Daar mister Haycock. Any update on CDC support in SQL Azure?
Please support Change Data Capture in SQL Azure. This is big for small-medium size data warehouse / data mart applications, as well as for mobile applications that do updates based on changed data. Also, CDC is perfect for people who want to implement database table update auditing without writing a bunch of boilerplate database table auditing code themselves.
