Azure SQL Database serverless manually pause and resume
It would useful to have the possibility to manually pause and resume a serverless sql database

A powershell cmdlet could be helpful here. I would also like to see some configuration exposed that would tell a serverless to wake up at certain time and stay awake until a certain time, but that might be a different request.
Really a pain waiting at least 1 hour for testing
Useful for testing. Current auto pausing means having to wait an hour between testing my retry logic and make sure no other devs hit the database. I could mock it but useful to have a real test for integration testing.
Any ideas when this capability may go into preview or release?
Apparently any open connection to the serverless database would not let the database pause. Therefore it would be really nice to have an option on the portal to trigger pause when we know any open connection would just be idle.

And how can you tell why it isn't auto-pausing when you think it should have paused by now?

Trying to understand and handle cases when the database is paused is quite painful without the ability to manually pause the database.
I am glad it is in preview. Great step. What is the exact date when preview will end? Or when it will go live, out of preview mode. I have people interested, but cannot recommend until its out of preview. Do you have a date, or is there someone I can talk to about this?
Azure SQL Database serverless is now in preview:
Feedback welcome. Thanks
