Enable simple OData endpoints for SQL Azure Database
Something like this used to exist as part of SQL Azure Labs (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/introduction-to-open-data-protocol-odata-and-sql-azure/) but was not taken to GA, and has been discontinued.
I'm looking for the ability to:
* single-checkbox "enable" a SQL Azure Database as an OData service
* additionally checkbox "enable" it's contents by schema, table, and/or view for read, write, update and/or delete access
* possibly configure the above access per user, or tie it into existing access control per object
Since this capability does not exist, I am researching creating my own endpoint (which requires coding and a separate VM to run a Web API service), or Azure Functions (which requires coding and separate maintenance).
P.S.: If this is "easy" to accomplish in Azure Functions - please point to a sample, and/or update the above blog post, and/or post a new blog and/or code samples somewhere. Or just tie it directly into the Azure SQL Database with a checkbox. ;)
You can accomplish this task with the help Skyvia, please find more details here -https://skyvia.com/connect/sql-azure-odata
This might be a no-code workaround: http://www.alessandromoura.com.br/2017/10/12/creating-an-odata-service-using-logic-apps/
