Elastic query without opening firewall to all of Azure
It says "Ensure that the elastic query endpoint database has been given access to the remote database by enabling access for Azure Services in its SQL DB firewall configuration"
There should be a way to enable elastic query without allowing anything in Azure to connect by setting "Allow access to Azure services" to ON.
WTF.. one needs to open SQL server for all Azure clients in orders to do elastic queries within single server. Security?

Security is advertised as Priority No 1 but it seems like functionality is given priority and exposing customers to figure out their own solutions for security.
It would be better if MS takes more responsibility of security and provides VNET integration from the get-go for all critical services which houses data.
