Allow Multiple network interfaces on all VM sizes
While it is great that Azure now supports multiple network interfaces, this is restricted to standard sizes above large.
Often the requirement for multiple nics is on a machine that is a crossing point between networks, using a standard tier large VM for this type of traffic is serious overkill!
There is a need to have a small, ideally basic tier VM that can have two nics attached.
I realise this may be in the pipeline, since multiple nics are so new to Azure, but it would be very helpful in creating cost effective solutions on Azure if this could be rolled out quickly!
Multiple NICs uses up networking resources in the backend, and is not charged separately, hence it is bundled with VM sizes. Multi-NICs will be available only with advertised VM sizes for the foreseeable future.
Azure Virtual Machines should support multiple NICs, regardless of instance size.
This is a basic feature that is available in AWS for more than 3 years. It took such a long time for Azure team to come up with feature and it is still crippled and not usable. I don't get it.
AWS doesn't charge for multiple NICs, it can set it up on any instances without Gateway and DNS and NICs can be moved across VM. This is very basic networking 101.
This is the most important missing feature for us.

This additional feature us important for us

Yes, please add this to the Management Portal ASAP and allow existing VMs to be updated to use multiple NICSs, static IP and Static MAC addresses.
Also, when you add the second NIC it gets another Gateway and DNS server from DHCP. Generally we do not want a Gateway or DNS servers associated with secondary network cards, we just need the IP and Subnet. Please allow us to specify whether we want Gateways and DNS servers associated with the secondary NICs.
And support for multiple public IPs please...

Multiple NICs for Basic VMs and add the NICs while creating the VM using management portal and add multiple NICs after VM creation also.
