We are pulling out and completely reversing our total direction on Azure Front Door due to lack of support for WebSockets. How is this not supported? How is there no better comment on support of this that "Triaged" from over 2 years ago.

We are unable to move our largest hosted application to Front Door because of the lack of Web Socket support.
We had to ditch Frontdoor for our production app, it requires websockets for GraphQL subscriptions. Websockets are essential for modern apps. Please add support.
If nothing else, this should be in the documentation.
I just spent a week, including a call with customer support, trying to move one of our services to AFD. Everything worked through staging and once I hit production it doesn't work because the production environment uses web sockets.
This is wild that it took so long to get to his point.
I am late coming to the AFD party! Credit to the team, it was easy to setup, SSL Cert was great! And it does what I need....well almost...except WebSockets, which I only discovered after deployment! So two and a bit years and +2K votes, number 3 in networking, and still no progress? Do I need to find an alternate solution or is one coming soon?
Any new ETA on this?

This is a massive limitation, is there any news as to when this will be added?

"valid suggestion subject to upvote" - this is the third highest idea, so what is holding you back?!

Still kind of crazy that websockets are not supported

As per other comments. Front door is NOT a cheap option and that it doesn’t support this is quite baffling.

How is this acceptable? This is a total deal breaker.
Need this FIXED NOW or YESTERDAY.
Really! How is this not supported!

Just an FYI the new preview premium/standard both still do not support this... even with private link on premium.
Front Door effectively breaks server side Blazor (and other SignalR) low latency solutions.

Is there an update on this? websocket connections are essential when building blazor apps

Can we have an update on this? we've tried App Gateway as an alternate but it does not support AAD on web apps.
Filip Herman commented
Wasn't this supposed to be included in the new updates around Front Door this week?

Server side blazor is blocked until this functionality is implemented.

This is an essential feature as far as I'm concerned. It's impossible to scale a server-side Blazor app to multi regions without it.
