Need drivers for Accelerated Networking for Linux on older OS kernels
Currently, anyone using Linux OS kernels released prior to January 2018 cannot use Azure Accelerated Networking for Linux. Users who are still reliant on older OS kernels should not have to upgrade. Accelerated Networking drivers for legacy OS kernels should be available.

We do our best to incorporate and test every image that is in the Azure Marketplace to make sure Accelerated Networking is working. Unfortunately, due to the dependencies needed to enable Accelerated Networking, we cannot backport these drivers to older kernels. If Accelerated Networking is needed for your workload, please upgrade to one of the supported distributions here:
